  • What was an Old Name of Kraft Marshmallow Spread?

I can remember in the early 80's they had a name for the spread. I can't remember what it was... I know it has been called 'marshmallow spread' and now 'jet puffed', but I seem to recall it had a single word name..... along the order of 'nutella' or such.

  • Internet Access through Multiple DSL Connection in Work Place?

I have an office in a remote location, out of town limits. Right now I have one T1 serving the office, that is only good for the people to get email. I can now get 6 DSL lines installed with STATIC IP addresses for the same price. AT&T cannot tell me how I need to connect this. Does Each DSL line come with it's own DNS server number?

What I am thinking of is having a switch/router outside of my firewall connected to the 6 DSL lines and then setting two workstations to each DSL, with the Firewall as the gateway, and the DNS for each line used to set which DSL is accessed by each workstation. That way I can have a minimum of 3 megs and a max of 6 megs to 12 workstations.

    Will this set up work?

  • Yahoo Main Page So Slow?

On the main Yahoo page, none of the news headlindes in the graphics will load... This seems to happen every two or three days for no reason. I can even click on a story and hit 'open in a new tab' and it will just sit there and try to load on a blank page, and not even timeout, even after 5 minutes...

  • Firefox Tabs Redirected by Malicious Websites?

This happens on any machine that gets to these websites. It is not a hijacker or virus. It runs properly through Firefox, and does not download anything or change any settings. It works on Linux, Mac, and Windows versions.

What happens: You click on a link in your front most of 8 open tabs. You notice that the address bar starts popping up a few IP addresses and you are being redirected. Then your second tab starts spinning, then your third, then your fourth, then your fifth (I have never had it go past 4 back tabs). These have all been redirected to trap sites (sites that won't let you navigate away from them, or go back) now.

It is like pop unders that have figured our how to attack tabs.

Any idea how to prevent this on firefox?

  • McCain's Health Care Plan?

So McCain's idea of a health care plan is to eliminate the tax exemption for businesses providing it to their employees??

This would mean the insurance provided would be a taxable income for the enrollees and at the end of the year a single would get a credit of $2500 and a family of 2-60 people would get $5000.

This means a single gets $208 a month for insurance and any size family gets $416 a month.

The rest is out of YOUR pocket.

I know some people right now with kids whose employer is paying close to $1,000 a month.

That means they would have to come up with almost $600 a month after tax money to make up the difference.

I hope I am missing something, because this sure doesn't seem like much of a plan....

  • Cholesterol and Fat Intake: Does it effect you Blood Lipid Levels?

Does anyone know of any studies involving cholesterol and fat intake, along with a minimum required fiber intake and resulting changes in lipid panels?

With a daily required intake of at least 40 g of fiber, 10 g of which must be soluble and fat intake of 50 g a day (20 sat,15 mono, 15 poly) along with up to 1,000 mg of cholesterol.

I have heard on the radio that cholesterol and fat intake may not effect blood levels that much, more than likely it is the intake of foods like this without the digestive fiber for getting rid of it that might lead to high lipid levels. I have always wondered about eating eggs and cholesterol. It does not seem like adding 300 mg from an egg to your body that is making about 30,000 mg a day would be noticeable or cause overload.

Anyway, anyone know of any studies along these lines?

  • Tax and Spend is a bad thing??

A truly conservative value is to keep control of your spending. It is really quite simple. If your income is $100,000 a year, you don't spend more than that amount. Simple. This is how "tax and spend" functions.

If you take the previous arrangement, tell your boss (the people) you will take a slash in your salary (taxes) but set your spending at 30% above your previous $100k income because you have credit cards that someone else will have to pay off..... This is somehow a good thing?? In the private sector this is the precursor to bankruptcy.

If we only would have adhered to tax and spend, there would be no deficit right now... This is a bad thing that neoconservatives would not like?

When the term liberal and conservative were originated, liberal spending was for high taxes and large government and conservative spending was for low taxes and less government, whereas neocons have morphed this into low taxes, high spending and borrowing, and big government.

  • Loperamide HCl Reaction.........?

I did not know that immodium was an opiod. I am sensitive to optiates. I had a reaction when I took this. I did not know it was an opiate when I took it. It does not mention it anywhere.

Any way, it makes me very dizzy, and then nervous, tight in the chest, etc. Exactly the way codeine (wisdom teeth) and morphine (car accident 20 years ago) make me feel. This lasts about 2 days. Is there anything you can do for this aside from naxolone?

For an over the counter drug, why does it not mention to avoid if sensitive to opiates?

  • Loperamide HCl (Immodium) and failed drug test?

I took some Immodium (4mg) Friday night and within in two hours was extremely dizzy, along with a dry mouth and some other unpleasant symptoms. I then looked into it and found out it is an opiod. It is Monday and I am still slightly dizzy, but it's almost gone. I am overly sensitive to opiates. I had morphine once after an accident (1977) and was miserable for three days. Codeine (wisdom teeth) also made me very uncomfortable. Anyway, most of Saturday and Sunday I felt restless and nervous and shaky. I also had an extreme tightness in my chest and breathing felt labored. It felt better if I would exercise or walk around.

Question 1: aside from naloxone, what can I take if something like this ever happens again (accidently taking an opiate) to get rid of the discomfort?

I also learned through internet research that heroin addicts use this to ease bodily withdrawl symptoms.

Question 2: Have you ever heard of someone failing a urinalysis due to this?
