How can I assign jobs when I have no available techs?
I work for a contracting company for a major telecom firm. We are told not to miss any time frames and to take whatever work they give us. I have about 18 technicians who have full routes. Yet, we are still given more jobs even though I have made it clear my techs are at their max. Currently I have 9 unassigned jobs and no free techs to do the work.
No one wants to listen to my concerns because of "the numbers", which are far more important than the reality of the situation. However, when the time frames are missed, and they will be, I will be hounded by numerous people asking "Why?!"
Should I drop everything and panic? What should I do?
