  • How do you remove the CV joints on a 1998 Ford Escort? They don't pop out like other models.?

    I've removed CV joints from other FWD cars. They're usually held in with a small spring clip and the joint (in the transmission output) can be pulled out usually with the leverage of a large flat-blade screwdriver. The 1998 Escort shows no such sign of allowing the CV joing to be removed with this method. Does anyone know the suggested way of removing the CV joint from the transmission on a 1998 Ford Escort SE wagon?
