  • Calisthenics or lifting weights?

    if you don t know anything about fitness please don t bother reading this. I m 15 years old and I ve been lifting weights for about 5 months now and I ve been seeing major progress, but I ve recently discovered calisthenics. ive heard that weight lifting is dangerous for my age because my body still hasn t fully formed, but basically what I m trying to ask is, if I do calisthenics rather then weight lifting, will I see worse progress? Better progress? Same progress as weight lifting? (Progress as in- a leaner body, a six pack). exclude diet because I m on the right diet

First off please don't tell me "you're 15, you don't need to go on a diet". I'm a little confused on carb intake and how exactly should I be eating them. Like I understand that eating carbs is vital, but then again I hear that you don't want to eat too much carbs. Can someone please explain how exactly I should be eating carbs.

  • Fitness/six-pack for teenagers?

    I'm a 15 year old male teenager at 5' 8" about 135 Ibs and I have a wide variety of questions about fitness. First off Ive been researching and I'm getting a lot of different ways to get a simple six-pack (because that's my goal). Essentially I just have a few simple questions

    1: should I do high interval training/cardio or should I do ab workouts to get abs because I've been told that if I workout my abs, I won't be able to see them and my abs will push out my fat even more.

    2: how bad are cheat meals for a teen like me (like do they effect me at all)

    3: should I be eating carbs on days I'm not working out?

    4/final: should I be focusing on other muscles such as chest and back or biceps and triceps on certain days... because again I'm just trying to get a six pack
