This is assuming it is functioning and properly grounded, is the wrist strap strong enough to prevent the taser from shocking you? I understand it would be hard to be in that situation, but this is purely hypothetical.

I know at least 90% of the boys in my high school do it (myself included) but the girls ALWAYS deny ever having done it. Do they really not do it? If they do how come they can never admit to it? It's not like it's something bad.

Personally, if and when I have children, I would never want them to think there was a Santa, for multiple reasons. First off, you're lying. Why would you want to lie? Then they're going to be mad when you have to tell them there isn't a Santa Claus. Secondly why would you want them thinking someone else is giving them presents instead of you? If you did tell your kids there was a Santa Claus, why did you do it? Do you wish you hadn't?

This may sound like a silly question, but why Europe separated from Asia when it's all one continuous body of land? All the other continents have some kind of obvious separator between them.

Yesterday we were playing soccer in gym, and I got hit by the ball – very hard – in my left eye. My friends said it was very swollen, and it hurt a lot. The swelling went down, but now the eye looks slightly red, and it hurts a little when I close it. Also when I close it, it tends to tear up. There is also some kind of sticky green stuff I occasionally have to wipe out of the corner of that eye. It is only one eye.

Can you even get pink eye from that?

A lot of my friends are into airsoft, and so am I. I'm looking for an average rifle that can shoot at least 350 FPS, and preferably under $150, it should be easy to use and just overall be a good gun for a newbie. Thanks!

I've played paintball before, got shot once on the shoulder, and once on the inner thigh. The shoulder stung a bit but not horrible, the thigh was really bad. So assuming I'm not getting shot from point blank, how much would an average airsoft gun hurt?

I just installed Kubuntu and it didn't come with Adept Manager. I went to terminal and typed sudo apt-get install adept

and it said E: couldn't find package adept

I really just want to get the WINE emulator.

It's a new unit and I came across a question on my math homework that I'm not sure how to do.

"The height h of a ball thrown into the air with an initial vertical velocity of 48 feet per second from a height of 5 feet above the ground is given by the equation

h = -16t^2 + 48t + 5

where t is the time in seconds that the ball has been in the air. After how many seconds is the ball at a height of 37 feet?"

Therefore the equation is

37 = 16t^2+48t+5

Subtract the 37

0 = -16t^2+48t-32

Now I know you have to factor it but i'm not exactly sure how to do it in this case. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I am working on the innards of my computer and am scared of ruining it with a shock. I don't have anti static wrist bands and can't get them, and there's not a whole lot of metal in here. I am also working on a carpet floor. CAN I WEAR RUBBER GLOVES? <-- that would be the easiest option.

I have an hp compaq d530 SFF and it only comes with a CD drive. I have never taken apart a computer and would not know how to do this, but I need the DVD drive from an old Dell I have. How could I do this? Thanks..

So I need my new pc (which as been running fine, besides this) to read a DVD of mine. I needed to burn something onto it and it doesn't say it's there. I try to boot from it (with a bootable file) it doesn't work. It just basically doesn't recognize it. But it does recognize other 700 MB CDs. The DVDs work fine with my Macintosh. But when I put it in the PC, nothing. Do I just need new ones? Or is it the PCs fault?

Where did FarmVille go? Can I still get to it somehow? Thanks.

Recently I purchased an HP compaq and it runs pretty good. So, I needed to move a certain file to it from my mac, which is backed up on a 500gb toshiba external hard drive. I plugged it in and got that little yellow notification thing that my hardware is installed and ready to use, but I can't find the location of my external hard drive anywhere. It's not under devices with removable storage. But I do have the option to safely remove hardware, and when I click it it says Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device, so it knows it's there... What is wrong? Also do you know any other way of moving a large file (3.76 gb) from computer to computer?
