What is the average annual cost of raising a child in Lebanon?
Anyone know what the average cost to raise a child in Lebanon is these days? (including the birthing/ hospital charges, Food, Clothing, Health Care, Education, etc).
There's some great advise on the internet, but most of it is based on the US or Africa; Here's a great site http://www.babycenter.com/cost-of-raising-child-ca...

You find a letter on your bed one day that reads:
" On this sheet of paper, lays 10 spots to fill out - you have to fill out the names of 10 people - after which, those 10 people will instantaneously die. Any 10 people from anywhere in the world.
You have 5days to comply with the letter. If you do not, if you refuse to fill out the form; or do not have 10 real names - One of your dear a and loved ones will pay the price for your uncooperativeness."
With Best Regards,
Mr. X
[PS: there is no right or wrong - but there definitely is a best answer]
18 AnswersLebanon1 decade agoAll this talk of food made me think of something..Why is it that?
Why is it that we sometimes constantly return to the fridge with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
Last night, I came back home from Salsa Night and was a bit hungry...I couldn't find anything in the fridge (that didn't need cooking) but I must have returned to fridge at least 5times before I gave up!?!

9 AnswersLebanon1 decade agoIf your current/(electricity) would be cut for a week, what appliance or thing would you miss most? ?
(As this often happens in Lebanon...some of you might have non-theoretical answers to that)
In my case, it would be my stove and oven (I use electric and love to cook) - second place; my TV (i have to watch a little bit of TV before going to sleep at night)

Which one would you like that to be? and why?
I would like to be able to psychically read people's minds; it would greatly help me in getting new investors to open up accounts with me during this economic crisis!
13 AnswersLebanon1 decade agoWhat do you do or where do you go when life becomes stressful?
Personally, I either sit on my balcony and play my guitar or I go and sit by the beach on my own; with a nice cigar and drown my gaze into the horizon....Best times during sunset of course :)
19 AnswersLebanon1 decade agoWhat would be your ideal vacation trip/ getaway?
Mine would be renting a cozy cottage/ farm type house somewhere in Tuscany; just me and my fiancé….No TV, no stereo, NO cell phones nor internet…just me and her and my guitar, having an old local women cook for us traditional home cooked meals from the region while degustating their local wines and cheeses and cold cuts…..sleeping under a blanket of stars to the sound of the crickets …no one for miles around except for a little village/town where we could go grocery and antiquity shopping, getting there on our bicycles…………
15 AnswersLebanon1 decade agoConsidering the following definitions, which do you think applies to the current economic crisis?
(1) A depression is a term commonly used for a sustained, long downturn in one or more economies. It is more severe than a recession (which is seen as a normal downturn in the business cycle).
Considered a rare but extreme form of recession, a depression is characterized by abnormal increases in unemployment, restriction of credit, shrinking output and investment, numerous bankruptcies, reduced amounts of trade and commerce, as well as highly volatile relative currency value fluctuations, mostly devaluations. Price deflation or hyperinflation are also common elements of a depression.
(2) a recession is defined as "a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales." A sustained recession may become a depression.

1 AnswerInvesting1 decade agoAre you where you expected to be 10 years ago?
In follow up to the "dreams and expectations" question; when you thought about the future (10 years ago) is this what you had in mind or not? And if not, are you glad things turned out differently?
