relative motion?
while taking relative displacement i do not understand which direction should be taken positive
for ex.
A--------50m-------------B
then if we are considering that both are moving in the same direction say towards B then what is s relative when we are taking B w.r.t A and when we are taking A w.r.t B
similarly when they are moving towards each other ...... tell me s relative in both the cases

two cars leave one after the other and travel with and acceleration of 0.4 m/s^2 . two minutes after the departure of the first car, the distance between them becomes 1.90 km . the time interval between their departures is
A)50s B)60s C)70s D)80s
2 AnswersPhysics6 years agokinematics question?
a particle projected vertically upwards. attains a maximum height H . if the ratio of the times to attain a height h (h<H) is 1/3 . then
A)4h=3H B) 3h=4H C)3h=H
D)4h=H
it might happen that all the options are wrong..........so do not consider them if your answer varies........i just want the correct method to solve such problems
1 AnswerPhysics6 years agodifferentiation?
the distance x covered by a particle in one - dimensional motion varies with time t as x^2 = at^2 +2bt +c. the acceleration of the particle is
a)x^-3 b)x^3/2 c)x^2 d)x^-2/3
i am a beginner in , i have just learnt differentiation ,i do not understand that why do we differentiate both the sites.
i mean its solution begins with
2x .dx/dt = 2at +2b
please explain me that why we have done so
thank you

1 AnswerPhysics6 years agoGRAVITY??????????
there is gravity between sun and earth , between sun and neptune also. then if we are saying that all the planets are there in the solar system because of the gravitational force between sun and them. then why an object in space does not get attracted towards sun???????i mean if we are in space somewhere between earth and mars and out of the influence of earth's gravitational force but still not sure but according to me sun's gravitational force is still there then why don't we get attracted towards sun just like what happens on earth(we get attracted towards earth)???????

2 AnswersChemistry6 years agois it something new?
i have just approached to some new formula.
and want to know if it is new or already existing.
(n+1)^2 - (n)^2 = (2n + 1)
that is , the difference of squares of two consecutive numbers is equal to the sum of the numbers.
for example-
(4)^2 -(3)^2 = 4+3
16 - 9 =7
7= 7
also can be written as
n=3
(3+1)^2 + (3)^2 =(2 * 3 +1)
also this means that if we add odd numbers starting from 1 to the squares of the number starting from 0 we get the square of the next number
for example-
0^2 +1 = 1^2
1^2 +3 =2^2
2^2 +5 =3^3
3^2 +7 =4^2
and so on ...............
please give me correct advise and information about whether it is something new that i have found or a different version of some already done work.
thank you...........
