Next week is mine and my boyfriend's 6 month anniversary and that weekend we are also going on our first weekend away to his cabin Up North. He and I have become rather close over the past several months and I want to give him something or do something that will show him how much I care. I'm not looking to give anything outlandish or expensive--I'm a full-time college student and he's an engineer but not into grand gestures anyway, but I just want to get something or do something special.

Any ideas?

What is 400 Gs of force? How does one measure force, and convert it?

For you guys that have several piercings:

How long to do you normally wait before you get a new piercing? After getting something new, what's an ideal timeframe to wait to get more work done (to allow for healing, etc.)?

I've already decided that I'll be getting my industrial done, and I know how painful it'll be during and during the healing process and am willing to take good care of it. That's not what I'm asking

What I do want to know is this: the day of my appointment, I'm supposed to go to dinner with a friend that night. Do you suppose the pain would hinder me greatly? (As in, I'd be in too much pain to be up for it, or whatever)

I'm looking for new music/artists to listen to, since I feel as though I just listen to the same things over and over again.

Generally I find myself listening to mostly alternative, metalcore, newer hip-hop/r&b, etc., but I don't limit myself to any genres, except I'm not too partial to country.

Just as a taste, a few 'guide' artists would be Paramore, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Devil Wears Prada, Jason Mraz, Matchbox 20, Between The Trees.

My 18th birthday is coming up in less than 2 months and I'm trying to come up with some ideas for a birthday party. I'm in Michigan, so it's obviously going to be cold (no outdoor parties!), and my parents and possibly other family are going to be involved, so no alcohol or strippers or anything like that.

My guest list is going to be around 50 people, and it can't be extravagantly expensive, but I don't think I'll be able to fit those people in my house, nor do I really want to. I was thinking about possibly a theme party, but I don't have any idea on a theme.

Any other ideas? My budget would probably be a few hundred dollars at the least, but absolutely nothing near "My Super Sweet 16." Also, I'm in SE Michigan (around Detroit) so if anyone has any venues they could recommend, that'd be fantastic.

Just wondering because, well, they're really hot. And just out of curiousity, really.

After a few years of soul-searching and torturing myself, I realized that I'm Bi. However, I haven't told anyone because my friends are not ready to hear something like that, and my parents are religious and also Old-Country so they are very narrow-minded when it comes to these things. I've sometimes felt terrible about this predisposition toward both men and women and I've beat myself up over this so many times. What can I do? Is it possible to "fix" being bi?

I have really dark hair and I've been wanting to dye it a reddish or brown but the color won't stay in my hair. How can I get natural looking color that won't wash out in two days?
