if Foley was a Democrat, (a) this would not have even made the news, (b) if it did, they would be portraying him as a normal homosexual man who just simply has a younger man (18). The kid it seems said he was in North Carolina and it looks as though Foley is in Florida.

North Carolina's sexual consent age is 16, while Florida's is 16 if the older person is 24 or younger so my question is if North Carolina's law is applied this guy has broken no law and has really just committed a huge lack of judgment and propriety. If the person he was talking to was let's say 18 or older would it have been a story?

Most of these states have a 16 year old age of consent for sex, so this Foley guy was just in the wrong state. He'd been fine if he was 24 or younger as well.
