Can anyone give some advice on buying a first cello? I've looked at the Jay Haide 101 model and I like the sound but being new to the instrument just thought I'd ask a little advice from others.

I live in Hull UK and would like to learn the cello. this is my second instrument (I play classical guitar) so I'd like a good sounding instrument but really don't know what to look for. Can anyone advise?

I have a job interview for the post of key skills tutor and have to give a 15 minute presentation on the above subject. Does anyone have any ideas?? What subjects could I cover? could anyone provide examples?

Does anyone have any ideas for home-made Christmas gifts?

Okay - so I admit I'm out of practice. I'm busy for most of the year so the music goes on the back burner. I trained on classical guitar (to grade 7) and am partial acoustic sounds and play some acoustic rhythm (steel string). I'm really bored with my sound so it'd be good to branch out a little, be it blues, folk or the like.

Can anyone recommend good, interesting book-with-cd combinations that I can buy from Amazon?

I'm a young single woman and have had a huge argument with my best friend (a lovely man) over a decision I made concerning my values. Call me old fashion but I'm reserved and don't believe in sharing a bed regardless of how innocent it is. Granted we have been more than friends in the past but that stopped a year ago and he presses me every now and again although it's only teasing I gently resist. He's going through a really rough time right now and whilst I'm trying my best to be supportive I'll not sacrifice my values. We had a huge argument about sharing a hotel room should he visit me. Granted I got angry too and could have been gentler in my responses, but I have apologised for hurting him and asked for his forgiveness - he has simply told me to leave him alone. This hurts like crazy... Am I out of order? Is there anything esle I should do?
