Would you tell your parents their idea for $$$ isn't very smart?
My parents will be getting an inheritance of several thousand USD. They have "paid off all the big bills" leaving one vehicle financed. They plan to purchase another car "top of the line" with heated seats etc to "retire in." Retirement isn't for at least 5 more years. IMHO a smarter move would be to sock that money away for a few years and earn interest, and then WHEN they retire purchase said car. (We'll personally I'd get something coming off a lease, but what the heck). Would you suggest it to your parents, if so, how?
