I have a "Thesis suggestion" paper due tomorrow for my college english class. I need five topics.

I want to do something original.

One topic I already have is "Hollywood promotes an unrealistic view of love"

I'm open to politics, culture, history, anything.

I just need ideas, I'm drawing a blank!

I'm American, and I'm absoloutely enthralled by your culture. I'd really like to be better acquainted with the vernacular over there. I love watching films made with British people. EX: Love Actually, Bridget Jones' Diary, Pride & Prejudice (both the movie and the A&E series). You guys have emerged some of the greatest bands. I hope that you aren't making a joke about me being a dumb American in your head, lol. But if you are, understand that I come in peace! I really would like to start using some phrases that you guys use, and stuff like that. I'm sure you probally think that I shouldn't, maybe that's just the stereotype talking... But I really want to connect with new people, and maybe get a penpal over there or something. I'd really like to live in England someday. Any advice/tips/other films? I would love a crash course in all things English. Thanks, feel free to e-mail or something. :) I hope I'm not offending anyone...

So I've been talking to this guy for nearly five months now. He's amazing, says all the right things, is good looking, intellectual.... We've gone on a few dates and what not, and talked every day..

ONE PROBLEM: He dates... a lot. More than one person. We've both decided that we really would like to pursue a relationship. And since neither of us drive yet, it's hard to see eachother. And I can't drive for another three months. So we've decided to wait until then. But he's not going to stop dating in between, and I really really don't want him to.. He says he does it to "fill a void". But I don't think it's fair that I'm patiently waiting. I really don't know what to do. He is everything I've ever wanted. But I just don't know, my friends are biased so I really can't get straightforward info. I needed an objective 3rd party, please help.

I don't obsess over people. It's more of anything that has meaning. Mostly a good book, a good quote, movie or television show.

I love a good film, going to see them at the theatere and picking one out from my extensive at home. I would really like to start a blog, or website where I review the movies. I was wondering if anyone could help with the basics of getting started(not web design, about reviewing the movie) and if there are any guidlines ... to help.
