If traveling through DC,Maryland this Sat or Sun? Hubby is taking Interstate 95 on his way to Georgia this Sat morning starting in NH/Mass. He is expecting to be in the general area late Sat/early Sun morning. Will I-95 or the beltway be open on Sat/Sun.?

In and around Wash.DC.? My husband will be leaving Sat. morning and traveling via Interstate 95 and passing through the general DC area Sunday. I was wondering if roads are blocked off early in preparation for this.

referring to a husband vs a boyfriend. Here in the States I think most people refer to their husband as husband not partner. Is a partner a husband or boyfriend in other parts of the world? I am guessing it is a British term as there are many Brits on Q/A.

When I was a kid growing up in the late '60s and '70s my mom used to make some type of leftover,fried,seasoned mashed potato burger/patty. It was nothing extravagant but it tasted so good. It was seasoned with common day spices and made into patties and fried in a cast iron pan. Do any of you remember this old time side dish/recipe? If so, do you know what she might have seasoned it with and how to cook it? Oh memories....

I THINK they sent me a 1099 attached to the check for tax purposes.( I can't find the receipt part anywhere in my house.) If indeed it was a 1099 or whatever it was called some questions:

1. I know if it was a 1099 I have to claim the money from sale of shares. How do I get a copy of it?

2. if it wasn't a 1099, do I have to claim the sale of shares and where do I enter it on the tax form?

3. Where do you think I lost it in my house?LOL

Long story but any way...just found out my husbands 16 year old step niece is pregnant. We don't want to say I told you so to the parents,( brother& sister in law) who didn't pay attention to the child with all her "friends" hanging around the house. We want to be sympathetic to the niece but we have no idea what to say to the parents or the neice.I use the word smug because the brother and SIL have always thought they were better to do then most folks. I personally (and I am pretty sure my husband) want to rub it in their face but we know it isn't the right thing to say or do. We wouldn't be that cold hearted to them. Any advice from someone who has been there and done that? What do you say to the paerents or child?

I was having a discussion today about meat and a man was very adament that animals meat does not contain cholestrol. He saids it is something the human body manufactures(?) from meat products including eggs. Basically it is not naturally occuring in meat?? Never heard or thought about it that way. Any input from anyone?

I am still a bit confused about the lead assissins flashbacks to the attacks at the Olyimpics. Was he actually there to witness it or was it all just from news reports and how he imagined it happened because of all the other attacks against Jews?
