  • Is $1700 too much for a Honda 105k service?

I have a Honda Odyssey 06 with 107k miles on it. An auto shop is charging me $1100 for replacing timing belt, water pump, front engine seals, idler/tensioner bearings, and drive belts.

They also are charging another $560 for the 105k maintenance service which have something to do with the radiator/antifreeze, engine oil, trans vital fluid, brake vital fluid, and spark plugs/wires/T-up.

    Is this price reasonable?

  • How to train my dog to stop following my dad?

I am having a difficult situation right now at home. My chihuahua is 1 year old. He likes to follow whoever he thinks is holding food. When we brought him home my dad loved to play with him. But after awhile my dad got irritated at how my dog kept walking and standing in front of him and getting in his way. He said it was extremely annoying to constantly worry about stepping onto him. My dad never physically hurt him; however, he would stomp and yell to scare him away. He was really pissed off and I am worried about my dog's safety. As long as I can get my dog to stop following my dad, he won't have any problem at all. Can anyone give me some advice?

  • Is this considered to be a discrete or continuous variable in statistic?

For example, the number of salmon escaped annually in a certain river.

    1990: 23624 salmons

    1992: 34236

    1993: 23535

    so on...

the numbers are not in decimal, are they still considered to be continuous?

  • Am I too late to consider a career in art?

I am a senior (4th year) in college and most of the courses I have taken are not art related. I recently realized that I wanted to be a professional sculptor. All of the art schools/programs require applicants to have a lot of prerequisites in art but I have none. My college tuition is paid by financial aid and I am not sure if they will support me for another year. I really want to pursue a career in art, are there alternatives for me to get into the field?

  • Why are my hands so dry!!!!?

Ever since last winter, the knuckle part of my hands are always dry. Not dry to the point of peeling or blistering, but dry enough to make my skin looks wrinkly and white. The strange thing is, only the knuckle parts of my hands are like that, the rest of my hands are fine. I've tried putting moisturizer on daily, but no luck. Also, I have oily skin (my face). Any suggestion?

  • Is it still possible for me to get a little higher!?

I'm a 20 year old asian male, about 5'7 (average for an asian guy, right?). Over the summer, I've observed that my sister, who is 2 years older than me, is gaining height. She used to be about half a foot shorter than me! Now shes only shorter by about 2 inches!!! I've heard that girls stop growing at around 18, 20 for guys. I think she maybe an exceptional case...

Do you guys think that if I start to exercise rigorously from now on (I don't usually exercise much), I can push for a few more inches in my early 20s?

If so, what kind of exercise/food would you recommend!?
