  • Brach's Classic Jellybeans?

Is it just me or are there other people who cannot taste the flavors of Brach's Classic jellybeans; except for black licorice.

The other colors just don't taste like what they are supposed to taste like.

Aren't dogs supposed to be man's best friend? If so, then why when the dog gets it's chance to escape from the house the owner has to go chasing after it?

  • Most interesting court case types?

I am interesting in bringing my daughter to the local court house to view a jury trial. However, before I decide which day would be best I would like to know by looking at the court's online docket which case(s) would be the most interesting and have the most content from which to learn how the process works.

    For example: Hearing types listed:

    setting

    pre trial conference

    jury trial

    arraignment

    appearance on arrest warrant

    motion to modify

    temporary orders

  • Manual transmission while parked on level surface?

I was told that it is best to put a manual transmission car in reverse and put the parking brake on when the car is parked. Is this not true? Why or why not.

    Thanks!

  • What's the rule for balconies on high rise buildings?

We were in Denver yesterday and we were watching the construction on this high rise building which we think is for apartments or condos. The building must have been at least 30 stories high and there were balconies all the way to the top. Isn't there some building code where balconies aren't allowed after the 3rd or 4th floor for fear that people will jump to their death? Just wondering...

  • Is President Bush really an idiot or has the public under estimated him?

Could it be that the media and general public consensus that is steering everybody onto the wrong course when we all should be paying more attention to what bills and acts are being passed. Where should our focus be?

Does the content of the following have any similarities to our current situation? Or any relativity to any acts that have been passed within the last 8 years.

The Nazi party's desire for total control required the elimination of all other forms of influence. The period from 1933 to around 1937 was characterized by the systematic elimination of non-Nazi organizations that could potentially influence people, such as trade unions and political parties. The regime also assailed the influence of the churches, for example by instituting the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs under Hanns Kerrl. Organizations that the administration could not eliminate, such as the schools, came under its direct control.

This is pretty much a rhetorical question (ie one that doesn't need an answer). I want to bring to people's attention that there are always more than two sides to any story and we should see any given situation as there being more to it than just what the media tells us. Are we prepared to think outside the box?

  • Are we ready to rise to the challenge?

During the debate Tuesday night Tom Brokaw alluded to the fact that Americans will most likely have to make sacrifices and that life as we now know it will change.

So what would you be willing to sacrifice if it meant having a stable economy, safety from terrorist attacks, food and shelter, etc?

We may the option to willingly sacrifice something today but it could be mandatory to give up something tomorrow depending upon the outcome of some of the challenges we're facing today.

live in a smaller, more affordable house?

cancel some of those questionable prescription medications?

take on a house guest to help pay the mortgage?

    eat smaller and less meals?

sell your car and take public transportation or walk?

Remember some of these things mentioned weren't options for many Americans during The Great Depression.

  • What's something that you would like to see more of in the place you live?

I would like to see more city parks and less empty buildings.

Perhaps one or two roller rinks because it's just plain fun to go skate around in a circle to cool 80's music when it's raining or snowing outside.
