  • Hardy-Weinberg problem.? Please help!?

Solve the following assuming the population is in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium:

In a population of 360 Patriot beetles, 60 are gold and 130 are yellow and the rest are green and gold spotted. Gold moths have 2 gold alleles, green moths have 2 green alleles, and spotted moths have one gold and one green allele. Calculate "p" (frequency of the green allele) and q (frequency of the gold allele)

  • Taking AP classes out of high school?

The college I wish to go to (Royal Veterinary College - London) requires the applicant to have taken AP Biology and AP chemistry.

I just moved to the States- completed my sophomore year on college prep classes b/c that's required for all new international students. Next year I'm going to be taking an AP language, and AP history along with accelerated classes.

I just wondered if there is a way to take AP classes out of school to gain the credit required for my desired college? Thanks for the help!

  • Mom deported from US due to overstay 60 days?

I'm 15 and a US citizen, but both my parents are not. My dad passed away 3 years ago, and my mom decided to move to the US to have a fresh start. She came in with a I-94 visa, asking customs to let her stay in US for one year. They said ok.

She stayed with me in the states for 8 months, until something came up back home. I went back with her.

When we came back, the US customs said she overstayed 2 months, and deported her.

They told me privately that all my mother needed was to apply for the right visa, and she'll be back in no time...Its been 5 months since then.

I've been living with my uncle since then. My mom had no luck applying for another visa. Is there another option that will allow her to come back soon?

  • Bringing a dog from HK to America ?

I am wondering if I should bring my toy poodle to america this winter. Do you think this is ok for him? I mean he never saw snow before and might not be used to the temperatures, should i bring him in the summer instead ?

And how do you book the trip for the dog ? Do you need to bring your own crate ? Is it safe? The chances of him getting lost are low right ?

And how long is the quarantine ?

  • I can't take piano anymore !?

I have had enough of piano. like for the rest of my life. my mum wants me to get up to level 6 exam, and this october im currently doing my grade 4 exam. Last week I had to perform in front of a small group of students, i think i did ok, but i messed up the scales.

then the freaking chinese principle's wife told me to come back on sunday to perform again, because I didn't do that well, and i told her i didn't have time as i had a riding competition 1 week later and i have to practice.

she asked me " whats more important, piano or riding?" and i told her straight " riding ". and she got so mad.

i mean not everybody is free everyday, and not all people chooses piano over something. i really think she has to respect that. this competition means alot to me, and yes I do want to pass my exam as well.

but the thing is, i don't get encouragment from everybody, that principle's wife says " oh, your not going to make it", and my piano teacher says that as well, but she has seen an improvement in me by quite alot last week.

Im going to see the principles wife on monday, as she's always in the center, what should I tell her if she asks me to come? HELPP

  • Lava stone massage tips ?

I'm 14, and is that too young for a hot stone massage?

My back, and legs are so sore from all the horse riding that I do.

Many adults recommend it. Are the stones desert hot ? Or are they just warm ? it looks pretty hot because the back always have light spots from where the stones have been after the treatment. and plus do you really have to get naked ?

Can you recommend a type of massage to relieve my muscle tightness in my legs that isn't too harsh? Is there a spa treatment for acne skin and scars? as I have some on my face and arm.

  • Grandmother problems ?

Well, recently my grandma had been saying that my mom and my aunts has been stealing things around the house. but the truth is, they never come to her house unless im there, because they don't want to be called theives.

She gave a copy of her house key to my dad, and now since he passed away, she thinks that my mom took the key, copied it, and went into the house to steal things. but she took all of my dad's keys when he died !

This is just outrageous. before when my dad was here, she said that he stole things. Things she claims stolen are spoons, hot water bottles, juice makers, rice cookers. i mean maybe she just threw it away, or misplaced them.

She told me that if she reports this to the police, my mom will die.

isn't that a bit too much ? all my uncles don't talk with her anymore, apart from one that lives with her. but all he does it agree with her because he has no choice.

I really think she's just misplaced them. One of my uncles(my grandma's son) read in a newspaper that old people have some sickness of the brain when they claim that people stole stuff. He told that to my grandma and she threw them out of the house. for good.

I don't want to hurt her in anyway, i guess i just don't know how to process this info anymore. I know things from every family members point of view, and they don't , because they don't really talk to one another anymore due to money reasons.

I'm really stressed out just thinking about it. They tell me bad things about each other, but i can't tell anyone. Help

  • How and what is stamp collecting ?

Okay, well my friends have recently started to collect stamps.

It just brings a question into my mind ... why stamps?

Like, I don't mean to be offensive or anything, just curious.

How do you collect stamps ? does there have to be a subject (e.g. animals, leaders, plants etc.) ?

And do stamps expire ? or no matter how old it is, can you still post mail using it?

Is there a specific type of book you need to put it in ?
