  • What advise do you have on replacing Windows with Linux?

    I am reformatting the hard drive on my laptop and am considering Linux as a replacement OS. I have all the software disks and information from my laptop already backed up, but can i use these with the Linux install? I am a total Linux newbie but hear rave reviews from some of my friends and coworkers.

    After doing a little research it seems the Mandriva distribution of Linux would be the easiest. Whoever wrote the wiki entry recommended it for replaceing windows. I think my biggest concern is that my programs and files will be useable in Linux.

  • What do the different labels of pernod mean?

    I live in an area where Pernod is easy to find, and knowing little about the labels to begin with, I am wondering what they all mean. I heard Pernod makes absinthe as well, which would be good to try at least once.
