What is the best record for a single season in interleague play?
I don't know why I'm having such issues finding this out but I'm only giving someone points with a source. I was just curious who has the best record (winning percentage can work too) in interleague history.
3 AnswersBaseball9 years agoCan you name the 13 teams in baseball who lost their closers?
13 MLB teams have had multiple closers this season because of either injury or demotion. Can you name them all?
4 AnswersBaseball9 years agoAs part of the new 10-team format, the division series will have a different format this year. Thoughts?
MLB has officially announced today that the second wild card will be in place for the 2012 postseason. In order to accommodate for the new format in a short playoff span for this season they will do a 2-3 format for the division series, eliminating one of the travel days. Therefore the team with the worst record will play at home for the first two games. Do you think people will have a problem with this?
7 AnswersBaseball9 years agoWho do you think had the best and worst offseason in MLB?
Which teams do you think had the best and worst offseasons in terms of improvement in baseball? I think the Angels had the best offseason and the A's had the worst. What do you think?
12 AnswersBaseball9 years agoWhat is your bold prediction for the 2012 MLB season?
What bold prediction will happen in 2012? I think A-rod will have another .300/30/100 season.
17 AnswersBaseball9 years agoShould Ryan Braun lose his MVP award?
Braun has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and will face a 50-game suspension at the start of the 2012 season. I think they should award the MVP to Matt Kemp who came in second. What do you think?
9 AnswersBaseball9 years agoWhat are youur thoughts on Broxton signing with the Royals?
I think it's kind of a weird move. The whole signing a closer to set up usually doesn't work. Look at how Soriano did this year and guys like Gagne have done in the closing role. If it works out, they have the best 1, 2 punch in the bullpen. What do you think?
10 AnswersBaseball10 years agoJoe Nathan signed a two-year deal with the Rangers. Thoughts?
Especially if he can regain form, I think this is a great signing for the Rangers. What do you think about it?
12 AnswersBaseball10 years agoMLB said that that division rivals will be allowed to face each other in the division series. Thoughts?
Sources say that the addition of two wild cards is not the only change coming to playoffs. The pointless rule that they can't face each other is now gone. I say it's about time! Your thoughts?
5 AnswersBaseball10 years agoDoes anyone know if instant replay will be expanded for the 2012 season?
In the MLB new CBA, we've heard about the Astro's move to the AL West, year-round interleague play, and the extra wild card. However, I have not heard anything about possibly expanding replay? They talked about using it for safe/out, fair/foul, and trapped ball calls. Please source if you have it.
1 AnswerBaseball10 years agoBaseball trivia: there have been 13 pitchers that have won the triple crown and the Cy Young....?
12 of them won it unanimously. Who was the one pitcher who didn't win it unanimously?
1 AnswerBaseball10 years agoJose Reyes offered a 6-year deal to go to the Marlins. Can the Mets compete with that offer?
I can't see the Mets offering him anything remotely close to 6 years and $90 million, what sources say Miami has offered him. With the financial issues they have, I don't know if he'll stay there. Do you think the Mets will compete with that offer?
11 AnswersBaseball10 years agoTonight is the 10-yr anniversary of...?
4 AnswersBaseball10 years agoGame 6 of the 2011 World Series was the best World Series game since...?
I'd say Game 7 of the 2001 Series. Despite how heartbreaking it was for me as a Yankee fan, it was tight and intense the entire way. Congratulations to the Cardinals for their persistence. Which World Series game would you say is the best since tonight?
5 AnswersBaseball10 years agoDoes it bother anyone else that the Cardinals have home-field advantage in the World Series?
It bothers me. They had the worst record of any team that made it to the postseason as a wild card team. MLB has to stop making the All-Star game matter. They should decided home field in the World Series by the best record. If that's tied head-to-head regualr season record (if applicatble, which it probably would be if/when the realign). If that's tied, regualr season interleague play record. And only if all of those records are tied, then use the All-Star game to decide. Are you bothered by the way home-field advantage in the World Series is decided? If so, how would you change it?
19 AnswersBaseball10 years agoFrom A to F, how would you rate the Tiger's season?
First of all congrats to the Rangers on two consecutive AL pennants. Second, everyone wants to make the World Series but not everyone makes it obviously. In my mind, as far as they went was a success. I'd give them an A. How would you rate them?
BQ: Do you think they'll repeat as AL Central champions next year?
12 AnswersBaseball10 years agoWhy would Valverde and Benoit not be available tonight?
Tonight is a must-win for the Tigers. In my mind, that means you have to have everyone going. If Verlander throws a lot of pitches, the Tigers are screwing themselves over. Leyland has ruled them out. He's asking to go home. What are your thoughts on this move?
8 AnswersBaseball10 years agoBerkman and Ellsbury win comeback player of the year. Thoughts?
Perfect winners in my mind. What do you think?
5 AnswersBaseball10 years agoHow many teams have come back from down 2-0 to win a best-of-seven series?
Obviously in baseball but I was wondering if anyone knew how many teams have done this. As we can see, if the Tigers want to make it to the World Series, they have to do it too. I need a source as well if you want the best answer.
3 AnswersBaseball10 years agoCongrats to the Tigers. Who wins the ALCS?
