  • What is the difference between a small claims 'debt recovery' letter outline (from local government site) and a civil court letter?

my sister is trying to get debt recovery from her ex-partner.

He is from the UK, they applied for a de facto visa last year and she got a loan to apply ($8,000) she also got a loan for another $8,000 to pay for rent, living expenses when his family (who she lived with) moved to sydney and left them with the house they were renting and he wasnt working so she had to pay the way, she also lent $1,000 for his parents to make the move to sydney which they couldnt afford but went over there seeking work.

The agreement was that he would pay half of the money back and the parents would pay the grand back too but then they broke up and everyhing turned sour, he has been irregularily $75 a week to go towards the loan of $300 for the bank loan on top of what shes putting towards it. Now, Hes not paying anything because hes out of work again and keeps making threats that hes going back to the UK. My sister is now trying to re-coup what she can and also alert immigration but she needs him to sign documents as she is going to try and take him to civil court. What is the difference between a small clams court 'debt recovery' outline letter and something that would hold up in a civil court. I am writing her letter as she mentally cannot deal with it anymore, any help would be appreciated!

  • I want to start acting?

How do you know if you have what it takes?

obviously I want to do it for the art itself but as far as a hobbie goes you still want to be successful. I've been looking up extra work in my area and its really limited but what else can I do? :)

also whats the best 'look' to go for? I am a big/curvy girl with bleached blonde hair and a 'snobby' looking nose because its upturned/button, I dont want to be type casted which I feel like I might be. I get compared to Rebel Wilson a lot, including my humour.

  • Rushmore: Screenplay, worth purchasing?

I want to learn to write a screen play, is it worth in investing in some screen play novels? What others would you recommend, I really admire Wes Andersons work.

  • why is standing up for yourself, giving attitude?

At work I have had incidents with two managers (same company) where I feel like the first one tried to take advantage of my kindness (she asked if I would take her son to an appointment which I didnt, I once (because it was on the way) picked her daughter up from school because she was going to show me how to do the store banking (which turns out she didn't know how to do) and another time twice asked if I would be interested in her other son which I declined. She then would change the roster so I would work two weekends in a row if it was a holiday or a family members birthday yet i would be told no if i asked to have my usual Tuesday off if i was rostered on even if there was not a meeting. she then began nit picking things, like if i left scissors near the sink (where there sharp knifes) which is next to the door anyway. When i was transfered to a diffrent store the manager didnt show me around so i didnt know where anything was and i was doing things the way i learnt at the other store but not how she wanted to do it, basically i broke down and cried when she said i was giving her attitude when i was trying to explain why a certain thing wasnt done (because i was confused and the only person in store) i said i couldnt do it anymore and told her i was leaving, she just looked at me not showing any emotion, but it got to me because i was trying to explain myself and i couldnt. I feel like i did everything right but because i tried to stand up for myself I have attitude.

  • why is explaining or standing up for yourself called having 'attitude' if people make you feel uncomforable or unwelcomed?

  • 20-30 yr old males opinions on stretch marks?

What do males between the age of 20 to 30 think of females with excessive stretch marks (think after pregnancy but due to weight gain and loss)

  • Why do they stare?

People stare at me and I don't know if its because I am the ugliest person or good looking. In the shops I walk past people and they look (males) I look at them and they keep eye contact, if i walk past the same counter then the person keeps looking at me each time the whole time. At school I am in an all male class doing animation and a few boys stare at me, one in particular looks and keeps looking back. I'm a big girl, I have bleached blonde hair and I always look presentable. I think I stand out in a crowd because I am big, pale and blonde but I don't know it makes me self conscious.
