Looking for something different, a lodge or cabin structure, or one in the middle of nowhere with a spa / outdoor hot tub, etc. Dont want something in a city or town, this is a gift and it needs to be special - any ideas? Somewhere that has a distinctive something!

I.e. I have a phone in the bedroom and a phone in the living room. Is there any way to call the bedroom phone from the living room?

I am looking for a Canadian/US car breakdown service like the AA in Ireland and the UK.

The CAA in Canada do not try to repair your car, all they do is tow the car to a location. This is not the same as the AA, who fix most cars on the side of the road and send out qualified mechanics, not tow truck operators.

Does anyone know of a service similar to the AA where they actually try to fix your car in Canada?

I am about to replace the Idle Air Control valve on my 1998 Ford Explorer (4.0 L SOHC XLT). I have bought a new IAC and wonder what the black knob does and if it needs to be set in some way during installation.

I suspect it regulates the minimum amount of air flow but am not sure. Can someone tell me what the knob does and how to set it?

Oil changed 5 days ago, new tires and full wheel alignment completed 4 days ago.

Drove nearly 600 KM no problem over 2 days - car drove like a dream. Drove today approx. 150 KM and parked in public car park, car ran fine. Went back to car after 3 hours - car started but stalled immediately. Repeated a few times, stalled each time. Eventually got it started by depressing gas pedal slightly. Car refuses to idle at all. If I take my foot of the gas it stalls. Otherwise car seems to run fine. Drove home fine (with care). Noticed that a bulb (centre above gear selector and does the odometer lower figures) in the dash had went out at the same time... Any ideas what it might be?

My research suggests it might be the Idle Air Control Valve. If you agree with this assessment is there any way to test for this and is this repair work that can be done without a garage?
