Hi. So I mostly understand everything required for my upcoming exam (Systems of Equations), but I need some help with this in particular. Our teacher has told us NOTHING about it.

I can re-arrange linear - non linear simultaneous equations and solve them using my graphics calculator. But to get excellence you have to "prove your answer using algebra"

I'm finding it hard to understand from the examples in my workbook.

It says to use the discriminant of this equation "bsquared - 4ac"

I don't know what this is but I understand that you have to re-arrange the equation and substitute it into this formula. Is it always going to be this equation? For hyperbola/circle etc.

Can you please talk me through this question and explain how you would answer this? (must prove with algebra)

I'm 14 and weigh 45kg,

I'm very unfit and always run out of breath when running etc.

I eat a balanced diet and always eat breakfast.

I passed out yesterday in science and this happened to me last year and also when i was about 8.

I also always feel very tired but i get plenty of sleep!

I walk to and from school but do you think i need to exercise more?

Or should i see a doctor?

Ok..., last year this guy who was 16 told me he liked me.., (im 14) (: But he was going out with a girl in his year.

He told my friend he would break up with her and go out with me but i wasnt sure if i liked him back because he was two years older and i didn't want to ruin the relationship he had.

We stopped talking for about six months and now i've started to like him. (he IS single now haha)

We have started talking a little bit again but its a little awkward.

Should i try to get him to like me back..?..... Or give up? Im so confused i dont know what to do.

Well last year i used to be in this kinda large group of friends, and then i left those friends and now im in a new group of friends and two of them used to be my friends a few years ago...

Anyway, now i have this feeling that my new group of friends are sick of me and are trying to ditch me and are talking behind my back. I dont know whether its true or im just paranoid :(

I really like them and i seem to fit in with them more than my old friends.

But i think maybe i should go back to my old friends :(
