Puleeeze

I remember the days of growing up and riding my bike to the library and swimming pool in the summer and haning out in the neighborhood with my friends. You can't do that anymore with your kids. You have to keep them right by your side. There are weirdos everywhere at any given time that can snatch your child. Also, just some of the crazy things people are doing these days like offing themselves and there families, school shootings, kids getting into huffing and hanging themselves for a high. All the news stories I see, I think what is this world coming too. Your thoughts.

Everyone keeps talking about it but I want to take a vote where everyone thinks the best place is to go on earth and hide out from destruction. (I say somewhere way underground, like a silo or something).

How do you get a person who runs their mouth all the time about things that 1. are none of their business and 2. they know nothing about, to shut up? My brother-in-law stays with me and my husband and he is always telling me how I should discipline my kids and that I am too soft on them and how they are going to grow up to be hoodlums and I just don't want to hear it. I got spanked once as a child and mostly just grounded and I turned out great. How do I get this guy to close his yap.

I want to leave the job I am at because the drive is too far and my boss is very needy, sometimes mean to me and will pretty much throw me under the bus to save his own sorry self. I have been in legal secretarial work for over 10 years now and have a lot of experience in working in law firms. I have a bachelor's degree and am attending law school. But, I go on these intererviews, the office manager loves me, I get call backs to meet with attorneys and then I never hear from these people again. What am I doing wrong? Any tips, advise or opinons would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm 5'5'', 155 pounds, 38C, have had four kids by c-section so the stomach's quite messed up, brown wavy hair, brown eyes, average looking face, kinda cute. Had a great bod when I was young. Am I a complete wash out now?

For those of you who answer "you are or you do" I know that already so take your simplton answers somewhere else. Just want honest answers on what people think about this hooplah dragging on like this. You can vent with me.

I want to visit there someday. Can someone tell me about it?

I have seen mean ones and I have seen nice ones who turn mean. Any really good guys out there or just all bad fish in the pond or maybe I am too cloistered in my life.

My daughter is 16 and is very fascinated with Japan, the language, the culture, etc. She talks all the time about visiting there one day and possibly going to college there (I assume some study abroad program). I even bought her a kimono for her birthday because she begged me for it. I think it is great that she is interested in other cultures. Can someone tell me about Japan, the environment, good schools, the atmosphere there, the people, anything. Thanks.
