  • Is this Password Change prompt actually from Yahoo?

I received the following email on another account warning me that someone had attempted to access my Yahoo mail from a mobile device in another country. I believe the warning to be fake and have not replied to it or taken any action. Is it fake?

This is the address on the email: (noreply@yahoo-inc.com)

This is the IP address: sender IP is 72.30.235.140

    Hi xxxxxxxxx (me),

We detected a login attempt with valid password to your Yahoo! account (xxxxxxxxxxxxx) from an unrecognized device on Wed, 3 Jul, 2013 11:04 PM CEST.

    Location: Spain (IP=83.42.32.143)

Note: The location is based on information from your Internet service or wireless carrier provider.

Was this you? If so, you can disregard the rest of this email.

If this wasn't you, please follow the links below to protect your Yahoo! account information from potential future account compromise:

  • In Answers International why is Quebec listed as it's own country ?

Unless I missed something, Quebec is still part of Canada and yet gets it's own listing under it's own flag. Does Yahoo know something that the rest of Canada is unaware? Perhaps the southern states should be able to fly the Rebel flag and get their own listing ? How about Ireland and Scotland ?
