I have been thinking about using cooking oil on my rover 200 sdi I have seen on plenty of blogs and things that it is okay to do so without any modifications I was thinking of maybe just using a 70/30 mix in favour of diesel I was wondering if anyone has done this with a 220sdi or similar..? thanks.

my mother is now quite ill and suffers from arthritus and finds it hard to stand up and sit down a lot inc sitting on the loo etc i am her only carer at the moment as she dosen't need a lot of care but is still quite dependant on me and i was wondering how to get equipment from the nhs to help her with day to day life im stuck with what route i need to go down to get it i know people that have it but they have carers and everything going in a lot and they organise it, how do i do it? and what will it cost us?? thanks in advance

I have a 1996 renault megane with the steering wheel controls, but the problem is I have an after market stereo to put in there and there is a wire for the controls but obviously my stereo hasen't. I was wondering if it is possible to get a lead or do something so that the steering controls will work with my aftermarket sony stereo, thanks.

I've just recieved all my catalogues and will start distributing them today to see how it goes but i want to know the best strategic way to build myself up build a team etc. I've heard a lot of bad publicity but also good so i jsut want to know what peoples experiences are of this and the best way to go from here what shall i do to build it? i had a car accident 2 weeks ago that wasnt my fault and the driver of the other car admitted liability yet her rear passenger has now come foward with some sort of complaint that i need to be questioned about.... what the hell could this be about? what could i have done wrong?

what happened; I was turning into a road on the left and i had slowed down to less than 5mph as i was entering the petrol station on the corner and a car behind which was approx 30-40 metres behind obviously failed to see me and hurtled into the back right corner of me as she tried to swerve out of the way. we had an altercation further back on the road which as far as im concerned has nothing to do with the accident as it was about half a mile back i assume she is at fault for not seeing me? What do I also have to do insurance wise? Do I have to ring them and tell them or make a claim or what i've never crashed before so forgive my stupidity. Thanks in advance.

Why the hell does petrol obviously increase in price when the price of oil increases but when the price of oil decreases they say it will be falling and make it publicised a lot and say you will see a difference in the next few weeks etc etc.. but then it never actually falls it just goes up again when the price of oil goes back up to what it was before and they claim theyre putting prices up because the price of oil is going up when its just gone back to where it was!!!!????

There is about 7 cars now parked on the pavement within reasonably close proximity to eachother for sale all by one man before it used to be the odd 2 maybe 3 or 4 max now its getting out of control, when I used to dabble in that market I do believe I came accross a law that said there should not be 2 of them within such a proximity of eachother he is clearly running a business off of these as they appear to be turning over rather swiftly who is it best to report it to or what is the best thing to do about this situation. thanks in advance.

I work for the NHS in a warehouse as drivers mate where we deliver equipment to the community and we have Renault master MWB vans and I was wondering if I am able to drive them. I turned 20 in march and i have had my normal car driving license since july last year, the drivers have said to me i should ask my boss who is currently off at the moment and i was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on whether i might be allowed or not. They are apparantly contracted and basicly owned by the NHS and the insurance is basicly fleet insurance from what i can gather as all every person can just jump in any van and drive it but bare in mind they are all a lot older than me. It says on some print off form that my driver has at the bottom: Please not the excess is for drivers over 25 with a clean driving license refer to ***** *** *** FOR OTHER CATEGORIES. So there must be other categories can anyone see a reason why i wouldnt be allowed? just to clear it up for now?? Thanks a lot in advance.

the second problem is that the coolant light is on as if its empty but the thing is full...

If I went to service someones car or repair for that matter (mobile) and they did not pay what rights do I have? Do i have the right to seize the car until payment is met? is there a certain authority i have to contact? I'm just unsure where I would stand if this situation occured and would like to know for future reference thanks peeps :)

some tit i must say previous owner not me, decided to apparently make 2 small holes somewhere in the exhaust so that it whistles after 3500RPM (diesel only goes to about 5000) i can not find the holes anywhere on the exhaust iv been under the car for 6 hours trying to find it to no avail, the MOT is due and i am worried about this failing as during the MOT it is reved to the limiter for the smoke test, anyone an MOT tester or anything that can help? would it fail? any information is helpful, thanks

Hi i have an ELM OBDII scan tool using PCMSCAN and i am trying to plug it into my rover 220d 1998 and also a vauxhall astra 1998 both have the 16 pin connector and both plug into it but i can not get it to connect with the vehicle it comes up with error 104 something about the protocol and im guessing neither vehicle is OBDII compliant..? information please, thanks in advance :) (UK not US!)
