  • Is it bad that I am not able to attend the Open House for Admitted Students?

I was invited to the open house at the University of San Francisco, but we're out of town for the weekend. I have a friend attending and I asked her to tell me about it. I do plan on visiting the campus, but will the university think I'm not interested if I do not attend the Open House?

  • Will submitting the application fee late effect my application?

When I was trying to submit my UC application, the website would not let me pay for 2of the colleges, but my application was submitted anyway. I've received the email saying they have received my application, but when I log on to try to pay the page keeps saying payment pending. I called the help desk and they said I will be able to pay after Dec 2. I'm nervous this will count mt application as late, will it?

  • Should I be concerned about getting a 3 on the AP Exam?

I know that it is passing, but AP English and Comp was the only AP class I took. I got As both semesters, but a 3 on the exam. I guess I just feel down because I was so confident I got at least a 4...I also know colleges are more competitive now, will this affect my admissions to schools like the UCs?

  • What is a wise way to spend my summer vacation?

I'm currently a junior in high school and we have six more weeks until summer. One one hand, my dad has asked me if I would like to go to London with him for about 2 weeks. I mean...come on, it's Europe! Who would say no?

However, since college is just around the corner, and is more competative than ever, I was thinking about just staying home and taking some concurrent enrollment classes to help my GPA and get college credit. Maybe find a part time job or some volunteering?

    I don't know...help?

  • What are my chances of getting into a good college?

I am currently a Junior in high school. My top college choices are UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara. I have a 3.6 GPA and have taken 2 Honors classes and am currently taking an AP class. For the most part, I have gotten mostly As and Bs with only one C in my entire High School career currently. I have not taken the SAT yet, but scored a 1680 on the PSAT. During freshman year I took tennis classes outside of school. During sophomore year I was involved in 2 clubs.

Right now I am only in the Recycling club but am volunteering at a shelter. I'm not feeling good about my chances and am stressing. Is it too late for me to start putting together a better college resume? Will that one C screw up my grade drastically?

  • Where can I find Rimmel blushes?

I've heard great things about the Rimmel Lasting Finish blushes so I've been looking all over for them. I don't have a Walmart near my area so that's out. The Targets in my area dont sell them. The Ultas in my area sell them, but the displays are empty and the store employee says they won't recieve about shipment for awhile. The Walgreens in my area don't have them either. Help?

  • First time eyebrow threading advice?

Im 16 and I'm getting my eyebrows threaded tomorrow. This is my first time getting them done ever. My eyebrows are typical Asians brows, thick yet very light. I know I just want them to shape it into a natural looking shape, but how would I describe the shape I want to the threader? Also, how bad does it hurt? My friend has been getting her eyebrows done for awhile now and she sands she almost cried the first time. What can I expect? Should I take a painkiller before?

  • How much is too much for a scarf?

I found this scarf on Esty and my inner bookworm has fallen in love with it is screaming at me to buy it. I just think its so unique and I love Pride and Prejudice! However, Im hesitating because of the price, I just feel that it's a bit too much for a scarf, but since this one is so different I might be willing to send the money on it. What do you think?

  • What's an amazing full coverage concealer?

My mom has asked me for some recommendations for concealer, as she has finished up her Revlon PhotoReady one. I'm looking to buy her a better one, as I feel the PhotoReady one looked really cakey and heavy on her. I'm looking for one that's not too pricey, but I am willing to spend about up to $25 on it. And I need to that will cover up some dark spots, will not break down on her oily skin type, but is still not thick and heavy and reasonably priced. I've been looking into the Laura Geller one? If you tried it. Is that a good one? Thanks!
