  • Faint line on an First Response-evap?

I am 12 dpo, and took a FRER this morning. A second line came up within the time limit, but I can't see any pink. You can really see it when the picture is tweaked.

I have always heard that FRER's don't get evaps, but that they should be pink.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • A bbt chart taking question...lower temp later?

Hi all-a weird temp question I can't figure out.

My normal pre-o temps are in the high 96s. I am late ovulating, because of stress. I tested a positive opk on Friday afternoon (I think it was positive, it is my first month doing it and the line was darker than the previous ones).

On Friday evening/early Saturday morning, hubby came home late and we baby danced at about 2 AM (I woke up for it). I was awake for a little while and fell back asleep at around 3 AM or so. Woke up at my normal 6 AM time, and I was at 97.5. I fell back asleep, and slept until almost 11 AM, took it again, and it was 96.9. Way later than normal, yet lower?

It makes a big difference because if I ovulated then, my baby dance timing is off and it changes my date by moving it up two days.

Any thoughts? I've always heard that the later you take it, the higher your temp is?

  • Temp taking question?

I am charting, and take my BBT every morning at 6 AM. I ovulated on day 27, and am now 10 dpo. My highest temp had been 97.7, which was a couple of days ago. It dipped yesterday to 97.5.

Anyway, this morning my husband came into bed at 4 AM and woke me up. I didn't get up, but talked to him for a few minutes before decided to roll over and take my temp. It was 97.1. I fell back asleep within a few minutes, then woke up at 6 AM and took it, and it was 97.9 (a big spike). It hadn't been three full hours, but I also hadn't been talking like the previous time.

Obviously there is a big difference between 97.1 and 97.9. Which should I use? Or should I disregard them both?

  • A chart/ovulation/symptom question?

This is my first month charting. I am doing it by hand, and also plugging numbers into a website that calculates your ovulation, cover line, etc. That said, my temps normally run low (mid or low 96s). It is hereditary, Mom, siblings, all of us have it. I normally have a 32-35 day cycle. Anyway, according to the site, I ovulated at day 17 when my bbt went from 96.5 to 97.1. It stayed above the cover line all but one day, when I dipped slightly below it. Yesterday, I was 10 days past ovulation. I had a metallic taste in my mouth, and felt very bloated. This morning, I woke up with a bbt that skyrocketed all the way from 97.3 (the highest its ever been) to 97.8. According to my online source, it changed my ovulation date, putting me now at only 2 dpo. If this is the case, I am for sure not preggo, as we haven't had the baby dance in a week. This morning, I broke down and bought a hpt, and it was negative. This afternoon I feel horrible, very nauseaus. Could I be preggo?

  • How many got pregnant through charting?

Today is my first day of charting. How many others have done this, and does it work? My husband feels like it is a waste of time, but we have been unsuccesful in the guessing game thus far.
