  • 74th Minute Penalty. It would have been the same in any game during the year!?

It was a justifiable penalty. It is not as some people think, that Slater lost the ball, it was because after being tackled he has attempted to get to his feet quickly and was pulled down by a big, slow forward who pulled off a great tackle but then forgot to let go after the tackle was over.

That would have been a penalty in any game. Once tackled, you must let a player get to his feet as quickly as he is capable, not pull him down again because your team is slow to get back in defence.

If Slater had been allowed to get to his feet as quickly as he did, I am sure the Storm would have scored another try. The eels were slow in getting back and the score would have been 28 - 16. In the end the ref did Parra a favour in awarding the penalty so as to let them get back into position to defend.

  • Henjack v Bennett. Is the apprentice now the master?

After the Broncos lost in the 1st round this year to the Dragons, due to a couple of iffy ref's calls, they have won the next two against them. Has Henjack proved himself as a master coach against one of the best of all time and his mentor Bennett?
