2 AnswersDogs10 years agowould you choose a pitbull type dog? and how too change the bad track?
Ok inspired by another question about strength of bite in dogs, i came too think about something i often thougth about.
Pitbull type dogs in different variations are very popular in the figthing dog world, which i am against, so this is not about that. However I dont get why, knowing a lot of breeds and their traits its not the breed or type of dogs i would choose if I were into watching dog figths for entertainment.
And wondering if other thougth about that too, lets not name breeds or reasons which may identify breeds as the last thing needed is too give anyone any brigth ideas for new trends. I am just wondering if you werent against dog figthing and were too pick a breed too train for figthing, would you choose a pitbull type breed? or would you choose another breed?
And on the note of topic, what do you think would help with realisticly geting down the amount of this type of criminal activety, which type of laws and punishments would be needed too see a decline in this horible activety? (not even debating it being useless, its a type of crime we can not give up figting against, but with which measures, what is needed too see it come too an end)
4 AnswersDogs10 years agohow too figth BSL? do you know of good reports or studies?
Ok so yes, geting organised helps, but you also need documentation, and the world is big, so is the web, studying and finding it can be hard. So on too the question, do you know of any good studies or reports which refer to actually documenteted studies showing that there are other alternatives too BSL that works better?
To start it off, here is one such report debating different studies and cases

3 AnswersLanguages10 years agowhat do you expect of a puppy?
i see quite a few questions about old puppies or even adult dogs not even knowing basic training, which makes me wonder why it havent learned before said age and the owners havent goten help long ago when they couldnt get the command too stick
granted owners take over puppies between 8-12 weeks, but someone have them before this as well, what do you expect a puppy of say 4-5 months too know? because often the things in the questions are things i really expect a dog too know already at that age.

3 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoAre there any sheltie breeders/handlers here?
Hi I am considering geting this breed, not now, it wont be till a couple years by now and yes I will do offline research and such before. But I like planing ahead and would like to talk about the breed standard, look at pictures and maybe get some info now due to curiosity. The best way to do that is to speak with breeders, I dont have time right now to do that nettworking offline which is just one of many reasons I am not geting a dog right now.
I am experienced but with another breed, so I just are mainly looking to familiarize myself with the breed standard compared to things like show pictures, if you know your breed then already you can start seeing how they will turn out as puppies (not 100% nothing is, but you can get indications), I have this eye with the breeds I am used too but sheltie is not such a breed, so I guess I am looking too see if there are anyone on here who have it willing to help out geting me started
