windows 7 Starter to Home Premium Upgrade?

i've recently upgrade from Win7 starter to Win7 Home Premium using Windows Anytime Upgrade, but now facing one big problem, whenever i wanted to format my pc firstly i have to go thru my manufacture recovery dvd which installs win7 starter first, is it possible that i download a copy of Win7 Home Premium trial from microsoft.com and activate it thru my WINDOWS ANYTIME UPGRADE key i've puchased???
