I heard this quote a few weeks ago used in a play, and I can't remember all of it or who said it for the life of me. It started out like Whoa to the fly on the leaf who...and that's where I lost it, but the basic jest was shame on the fortunate who would begrudge the existence of the unfortunate. The play was A Christmas Carol, but I don't think it was in that book. Anyone have the slightest idea what I'm referring to?

How pro family are you if you're willing to take the job of vice-president when you have a severely handicapped baby who needs your care? I'm just wondering where this whole thing came from. I drive down the road, and there is female after female after female, all driving alone in their little Hondas and at least half of them are on a cell phone. Is there some kind of unwritten rule prohibiting them from driving without a phone in their ear? Or it could be that it just become a fashion statement, and you're not cool unless you're either talking on it, or at the very least holding it in front of you while you stare at it, apparently waiting for it to do something cool. Thoughts anyone??

I saw a movie when I was younger and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. The fragments I remember are as follows: The main character was an adolescent metalhead who was really an alien from space but on earth had a step dad that abused him and a dog named Van Halen. His abusive dad sends him to the store to buy him some beer, he meets up with this girl, they have a good time in the back of her car, and at the end he goes back up to space. Anyone???? Anyone?????
