My internet is being bipolar. Some programs seem to work fine, like the internet, AIM and some games I have. But other programs seem to not be able to connect to the internet, including Windows when it said it found a fix for a problem I was having but I had to connect to the internet to get it, as I was talking to someone over a webcam...

I've tried turning off my firewall and I don't have anti virus right now, so what's wrong?

I don't really like downloading the Copy wrote music, so I'm looking for free music. NOT JUST ANY THOUGH. Drum n Bass, Electronica, 8-bit stuff like that. I know there are new artists out there that have free music to get the name known. Anyone know of any?

Shiny toy guns, any groups? I know of Versant, the old vocalists new group but I don't think they have an album out yet. Any other groups that sound like them? Such as their Rocketship or Rainy Monday songs.

So, I just had a pop up saying my computer is receiving lower than normal bandwidth. How can I fix this? I'm computer savy enough to understand things like msconfig. And one other problem that might get in the way, when I type in IPCONFIG in run, it pops up a blank black screen and then closes it right away, so I don't know how to find out my IP right now. An answer to both might get 10 nice points.

Alright, you guys did a great job in improving my computer's speed, now what about my internet? I have DSL from at&t Yahoo!, not sure the exact speed but from the speed test I've taken online I should be getting 1.2mb/s and I currently download around 40-170kb/s. How can I improve this? And is there a way to see all the programs acsessing my internet?

My computer has become increasingly slow. I hate an ATI 9800 Mobile and 2gb of RAM Pentium 4 processor (special edition or something) and windows XP with all 3 service packs. But, my computer has become slower and slower. Other than disk clean up and scanning for spy ware what can I do to speed it up? Also I have AT&T DSL, which should get about 1.2mb/S. I'm only getting about 100kb/S... anyway I can improve that? One last thing (sorry) is there a way I can see which programs are acessing my internet?
