I have been working on cars for over 44 years, but not professionally, although I was certified back in the 70's. I like doing my own maintainance and thankfully I can find help when I am stumped by using Yahoo. I don't get stumped often, just less confident than when I knew it all.
Major oil leak on front left side of 4.6 V8, any ideas?
I changed the oil on a recently acquired Expedition with the 4.6 L. I noticed there was a lot of oil on the frame, cross member, etc. I cleaned the area in attempt to locate the leak. It appears to be where the pressure sending unit resides, but this looks like a combo power steering pump/oil pump assembly. Am I correct in my assumption and if so, is it known to leak??? Thanks
1 AnswerFord10 years agoHow to remove the airbag from the steering wheel of my 1995 suburban.?
I have removed all the covers but I do not see what is holding the bag in place. Do I just pry it out or are there additional screws located somewhere that I don't see? Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersChevrolet1 decade agoHow do I remove the turn signal/emergency flasher switch on my 1995 Suburban?
There is one torx screw under the steering wheel that I am not able to access properly. My "allen" wrench style torx wrench acts as though the head is stripped, so I tried to remove the steering wheel, but don't seem to be able to go that route very successfully either. What I am attempting to do is replace the emergency flasher "knob" (it is actually a piece of red plastic about 3 inches long) any help or suggestion are greatly appreciated.
