I an American who is planning to travel each varies countries of Scandinavia for 6-months.

Is cheaper to live in an apartment than living in the suburban house, due to high cost of land development. Imagine if the nz government made new travel agreement with Canada, where people form both countries are freely to travel without visa restriction. Despite the great distant, Canada has a higher GDP, very low crime rate, higher standard of living, and similar English language as to New Zealand's. For better result, it also would improve the economic trading relations. Such as for example, Canada carries huge amount timber, 10 times more than New Zealand while for New Zealand it carries huge numbers of livestock once in Canada. Image if they form a trading partner. I heard New Zealand had formed a travel agreement with the UK (which much more far away than Canada). Not much agreement with Australia, but close enough. If they can make agreement with these countries, why can they do with Canada?

Is it true that most of the population lives outside of Auckland and other major cities. I heard New Zealand's largest industry is agriculture, such as sheep farming, so, I would suspect that there's a lot percentage of the people tend to work in crops and sheep herding, and getting low income then the people who lives in major cities or at least the suburbs where there's plenty of opportunity and earning a higher income which can support for education and higher standard of living.
