I'm just curious. What I mean by 'planetary system simulator' is a system whereby one can manage an entire planet, including its gaseous content, whether or not life exists on this planet, if the planet is active geologically and tectonically, etc.

It's for a university presentation that I have to make in a week, I'm also interested in potential host rocks/ depositional environments for manganese ore. Thank-you all in advance.

My girlfriend has recently gone on a night out (which I couldn't go to as I was in another city at the time) with my flat mates. One of them has admitted to fancying her in the past, and it has not bothered me - until now. I get back the next day and caught her in bed with him (both in undergarments only). She denies doing anything, but has said she needed a place to stay that night and so slept in his bed with him, while he says they did have sex. I don't know who to believe, but I'm devastated that it's happened, but not certain if the flat mate is trying to wind me up, or if he's telling the truth while my girlfriend is lying. Please help me in how to confront this situation.

This is a story, my story. As the narrator, I want to clarify that all the events that have occurred in this book, every last detail, is true. I share this story now, not out of pride, not out of regret, not even to announce the story, but in order to deliver a simple truth – a truth that you will discover to be shocking, insensitive, and yet offensive. I’m 28, born in Frankfurt, yet raised in Cardiff, have little contact with my family – I’m highly independent, and as I sit here, I see all are the same as me. Don’t believe that I’m a monster – any scholar will give you such an interpretation.

This story will start from my birth – from my family’s recollection, through to the modern day, almost every gory detail told, ranging from my dealings with eating disorders, through to grief. You might find I’d had a fairly broken childhood, but I want no sympathy – I don’t even want action to be taken, I just want to relieve this stress, this anger and this woe. Yet despite the negatives, I’m verily contented in many respects, I’m sehr gut in languages, despite difficulty speaking throughout my life, indeed I’m a happily married man with a beautiful baby along the way. I would even declare that in modern times I’m a very happy man, as well as a lovely family I also have my dream job. I must admit to some insecurity – if my wife found out half the things I did before meeting her she would leave, starting the cycle again. Yet I must reveal it all now, as I stand over my desk with my final drink, my drawer is open – my trusty Smith and Wesson revolver in full public view. If I don’t write this now, it will be the end for my story.

Currently, I am living in Zagreb, a beautiful city, the place where I wanted to end it, I’ll discuss why during the story. I’ve had many experiences – despite being this tender age, yet regretfully some are negative, some of them I was too distressed, more like cowardly, to discuss. I am a man of many definitions; cowardly is probably the best one to entitle to me. Someone once told me (I believe that it was indeed my wife) I need to ‘open up and reveal my true self, until I do not much will work for me’ and, undeniably, she was correct. Yet, I can’t see her response being a happy one to all this. Granted I’ve told her some (if not most) of my story, and she seemed unable to complain about it, yet her response is key to my underlying decision before midnight. Maybe it is a bit extreme, and a touch selfish, but I must think about it, I may be happy on the outside, however inside my heart is black. I feel I have no more love to give. I very occasionally see happiness, yet I turn away and let the hellhounds have their feast with me.

Sometimes I feel very grateful to my friends, to my current family, and to my collegues for their support, invariably on their advice I started writing this. Particular thanks must be given to a certain Senhor Tiago Alves, an amigo, colegas e ex-amante (to be explained later), without whom I would have ended it earlier, he kept me sane (or at least gave me the strength to survive, if only to defend my honour). My amici, for I never truly knew what friendship was, and yet it was only recently I truly understood them.

As filled with disturbing information as I may be, I want you all to understand the black nature of my soul, and listen to the vibrato behind the tears that I have shed to light today. This has been my hardest ever task, there’s no bars held here, this will be an accurate portrayal to my effort and it may just save my life, please read cautiously, the ‘Kronicles of Klaus’.

It seems to be a ridiculous question, but I'm a student in Cardiff and 3 lads plus myself have decided to rent a flat on the third floor (which has a kitchen, bathroom etc). We rushed through selecting somewhere as we got onto it at the last minute, however having been there a couple of times and looked at it properly and thoroughly, I can't see any fire/ emergency exit where we could get out if a fire was to occur, or some other emergency were to arise. My question is, is it a legal requirement to have such an exit? Thank-you for any answers.

I would prefer an acoustic guitar, but as I already have an amp (admittedly an old one, but all the same an amp) I'm happy to take in an electric. Unfortunately I'm on a very tight budget and to be able to pick up a guitar might put me in a better mood.

A flood basalt is categorised as a large igneous province, the most famous of which is either the Deccan Traps or the Siberian Traps (for their respective mass extinction events), but which one is the largest of all of them? It would be a major help as it may be useful in an exam that I have in a week or two's time.

My best friend is (and has been for a while) trying to find a woman to spend some of his evenings with, I can understand that. However he's been unsuccessful thus far and is trying to get involved with an introduction agency, before he does he's asked me for some advice as to how they work, how successful they truly are, and generally if I feel it would work for him. I told him that I'll talk about it next time I see him (which incidentally is tomorrow, at about lunch time to discuss this), but really speaking I have no idea how they work, please help me.

I've decided to give my ex another try and we've been dating for a couple of months, in fact she's now no longer my ex as we're back together and trying to make things work. She's very happy I made the decision, her flat mate (who was the other girl in question) was understanding of my decision, and (though not happy) hasn't said anything to my girl or me, in fact is offering her support. but it's been a couple of months now, I have exams to worry about (resits more than anything) and I don't want her to leave me for being boring. I'm taking her out tonight to talk to her about it, but I don't know how I'll maintain it without seeing her more often than I can if I want to pass my resits. I guess my other question is she's been giving me very strong signals that she's ready for us to have sex, it's fast but I feel maybe I'm ready too, should I try anything/ suggest it on our next date? I know that the dimetrodon would have been around during the Permian (more specifically the Artinskanian through to the Capitanian stages) between 280 - 265 Ma. From observing some of the local Permian geology (of Great Britain) I have noticed a series known as the 'New Red Sandstone' and a number of evaporite fields. All this is indicative of a fairly dry atmosphere such as a desert, however I can't find any records of fossil finds of Dimetrodon in the UK. However, having looked at various other sources, the Permian was a period where a desert expanded from the equator through to 50-60 degrees latitude (except South China which maintained its tropical forests and has coal of this age), however I'm not 100% of the dimetrodons main biome. If it helps I know that various species are found across North America and many parts of Europe. Thank-you in accordance with your answers.

As things stand I'm trying to put together a decent costume as I picked this particular outfit out of a hat, and can't think of what he wore. Please help!

Where do I begin? I remember this happening with my ex, we sharply broke-up in the end as we thought we'd be in different city's and wouldn't see one another. Though the second half of that is true, we don't see each other often enough, we're in the same city, but it's not her I'm asking about, it's her friend/ flatmate, I see her almost daily and have been on a couple of dates with her, so it's not an issue of neither of us feeling the same way, it's more a case of I feel as though I'm betraying an ex. I can see that my ex feels the same as when I bought her friend a drink and exchanged a peck on the cheek she looked at me in shock. I feel terrible that this is happening, and almost feel awkward that things have happened. I guess there's two questions here, does my ex still want to be with me? Are my feelings rational at this time?

I'm writing a literature review on the geobiology of geysers, but in text geyserite is mentioned frequently. I understand that it's a deposit from a geyser but what is its composition? What sort of structure is it? I'm asking mostly for a greater understanding of the topic so that I could write in a more coherent manner.

I'm writing a paper on earthquakes and its effect on society, so the question stands.

I've got terrible writer's block at the moment and I've 'hit the wall', how can I snap out of this? I mean, how can I break through 'the wall'?

I'm a first year student studying Geology, I have no background in Geology or Geography and therefore have no background information on this topic, please help me.

This may be a stupid question. What happened was when I was 14 years old my girlfriend at the time cheated on me. I found out that because I didn't want to have sex with her, she decided to find 4 guys (could be more, but she confessed 4) of around our age who would give her release. Ironically she admitted this and she was the one who broke up with me. I have never really forgiven her, she hasn't apologised or anything like that, but I'm uncertain as to whether or not I should just let it go and allow myself to befriend her again, at the end of the day I was 14, and this happened more than four years ago, should I forgive her? Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) is an optional part of the recipe, however I would like to know how it affects the flavour of a dish, if it does affect the flavour what can I use to replace the MSG and maintain a similar effect? Thank-you in advance for your answers.
