Hi. I'm a junior in high school. I'd like to run cross country and track in college. I'm a distance runner. My sophomore times are:

1600m: 4:39

3200m:9:59

5k: 16:53

Tell me everything you know about recruiting. Most specifically, what division would I fit into? Anything helpful is much appreciated.

recently ive been listening to more metal lately like korn, lamb of god and killswitch engage. can someone name some more great metal bands or songs for me? my favorite band has always been metallica but lately ive been experimenting with more, different types music. thanks in advance.

Hi. I am a sophomore xc runner. my cross country pr is a 16:53. next year i will b aiming to break 16. right now i am doing winter track, and i will do spring track too (i run mile nd 2mile). i hav the same coach 4 every season. we do a LOT of track workouts; very fast too. im gonna ask my coach if we can practice hills more kus that kills me. Also, i have a pretty good diet, and i workout 1hr a day along w/ running. I was wondering if anyone could give me some good training tips if im missing anything that could help me. i eat, sleep, and run, and im willing 2 do anything 2 reach my goal. please leave serious comments. thanks in advance, and keep running=)

oh yeah, and could any1 recommend some mile splits 4 a sub 16 5k? id call myself more of a pace runner w/ a pretty good finish.

Hi. I'm a sophomore in high school and i really want to break a 16:00 5k. My season recently ended, and my PR was a 16:53 with a negative split for the race (i peaked and had 2 much extra energy 2 finish the race). I think sub 16 next year is definitly possible. My weekly mileage was around 40-45 miles, with lots of speedwork (my coach loves track workouts). Also, i am now adding more core work to my schedule, and was going to increase my mileage to 55-60miles a week. I was wondering if anyone could give me more tips, and maybe some splits to break 16. I definitly have the motivation 2 do it; i just need 2 kno how 2 get there. Thanks in advance.

hi i was going to build my first guitar but was unsure of how to wire this body i found. im pretty sure the wiring is similar to strat wiring, but there is roouting on the back of the guitar. wat is this for?

hi. i was thinking about making a guitar (this would be my first). I found a nice body on stewmac.com to purchase, however, i was wondering what the routing on the back of the guitar was for. Although i am inexperienced, i thought the wiring for this type of guitar was to be done in the front, like a strat. Not like a les paul where you wire it from the back of the guitar. Hi. I was wondering what cross country time can get me a scholarship for college? And what times do colleges look for when recruiting? (I know they're probably the same times but just wondering)

Right now i'm a sophomore. My PR is a 17:04. I will start peaking in about two weeks my coach said for state sectionals.

Hi. I'm 15 and run all year. In the fall i do cross country, and in the winter and spring i do track. In a week or two track is ending, and i was going to start summer training on my own, but would training for a half marathon be too much for me? I really want to try one, but i dont want to hurt my body too young. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I'm taking scuba diving lessons now. In August, I will be heading down to Florida for a scuba diving trip. I heard we will be diving about 40ft deep. I am a little nervous because this is my first time and I just read about some of the risks. I was just wondering if I should worry about any significant problems I could face so I can be prepared. Hi. I'm a freshman this year and was wondering if it is too late to start playing baseball. Usually, I ran track in the spring, but wanted to try baseball this year. If I did, I'd learn to play outfield because I'm fast. Otherwise, I'm not a very good hitter, however there is still 5 months for practice till the season. Does anyone think I have a chance of making the team if I try hard?

When a drum cymbal is on sale and says 18" crash cymbal, does that mean it's 18 inches to the center of the cymbal, or the whole cymbal is 18 in. long?

Hi. I bought a drum set about a month ago, but would like to sell it now (don't have the time to learn). I bought the set off craigslist, but didn't save the tom and snare sizes. Now that I want to sell them, I'm going to need those sizes for the set's description. Here is an example of what I'm trying to measure:

Sizes

· 22" x 18" Bass Drum

· 12" x 9" Tom

· 13" x 10" Tom

· 16" x 16" Floor Tom

· 14" x 5.5" Snare Drum

Do I just measure the tom's length and width to get these measurements?

Hi. I just started learning to play the drums.=) What are some easy songs I could try to learn? The bands I like include: Metallica, GNR, AC/DC, Aerosmith, U2, STP, Van Halen, Cream and The Who. I like rock and hard rock as you can see. I like lots of other bands too. Thanks in advance.
