Getting Married 10~9~10!
Landlord issues... can she do this?
My Fiance and I just purchased a house in Western NY and we were going to wait it out at our apartment for another month while we did the cleaning/painting. Something (financially) came up and we will have to move right away. We signed for the house June 1st and will be moving in by the 10th.
When we moved in our apartment there was no rental agreement; no security deposit; nothing. We were moving into our friends apartment and were told once they moved out we could have the keys immeadately (from them, not her) and could clean/move in. All we were told is that rent was usually due(she is very lax on when we pay as she is 95yrs old) around the first week of the month (no specific date).
We talked to our landlord about the situation on June 4th. We offered to pay her half of the months rent paying for 5 extra days that we will not be there, but she is claiming that we have to pay the full months rent. Financaly I cannot do that and I feel that she is being unfair.
The past winter our neighbors in front of us (2 guys rooming together) paid their rent on the 1st, got into an argument and split up that night. They didn't come back to give the landlord the keys and tell her they had left for 2WEEKS! She then gave them back HALF OF THEIR RENT! She told my fiance & I this!!!
I feel that since she let others pay half a months rent before with NO NOTICE then we are being fair to give her some notice and to pay for 5 days we wont be there. But she wants all of her rent. Can she legally do that since we have NO RENTAL AGREEMENT AND NO SECURITY DEPOSIT AT ALL>>>NO VERBAL AGREEMENTS EITHER! we moved in when we moved our friends out!!!!
PS we have fixed things with our own $$ and she wont pay us back for it either!
7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoFemale Dachshund Name help!?
I just placed a deposit on a female mini dachshund. She is Black/tan short & smooth haired. She is only a few days old at the moment but I am trying to think of some unique names for her. I have a cat and my fiance named her Pantera (his favorite metal band) and I wanted to name her something along the same lines but cant quite think of any that is fitting for a mini dachshund. My favorite names so far are Zoey, Bailey, & Daisy. I've also considered Chevelle (Chevy for short) & Harley (my fiance and I are motor heads). Any ideas on a name that is fitting for a little doxie and for us personality wise?
10 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWould this be cheesy to do?
My fiance' is Italian, and his entire family is from Italy. He was raised here and doesn't speak italian but his parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc do as they are all from Italy. So someone mentioned that maybe part of our wedding vows could be in Italian. I didn't think it was a bad idea but dont know if it would offend his family if we said something incorrectly or if it was cheesy. I think its a good way to honor his side of the family (not that I want to dis my side but I'm a mixture of things where his whole family is from Italy). Ideas? Please no rude comments.....
16 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoNeed help & info for cakes!?
I am getting married in Oct 2010 which is still a ways away but my cake maker suggested looking for my cake topper now. I am looking for a decent priced and good quality letter "C", and a small "R" & "A" as well. I have heard horror stories of really crappy products coming from certain wedding sites, and would just like some input on where to/not to order from. Any info is really appreciated!
**Also, I am having a groom's cake too and was trying to find something along the lines of a Ford Mustang. My fiance' & I are both avid Mustang fans as we both have one...any ideas?!?
5 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoAre there really 'early signs' for diabetes?
I am 21 and All of my grandparents on my mothers side have Diabetes and my mother too. So I know I have a higher chance of having diabetes too.
Just recently I have been experiencing alot of headaches, unexplained weight gain, lightheartedness, nausea, sudden mood swings, sudden leg cramping (for no reason too...i drink tons of water all day), & wounds take forever to heal along with quite a few other things. Could this be a clue to have blood work done just in case i might be diabetic? I know my grandfather was diagnosed at a young age, so it scares me that I might be. I eat right and I exercise 3-4 days a week too! I always feel tired even if I get 12 hours of sleep or just 7. Are there really any 'early signs' of diabetes or are they just symptoms of diabetes that people may think are like warning signs?
19 AnswersDiabetes1 decade agoMini Dachshund Breeder in Buffalo NY Area!?
I am looking for a mini dachshund breeder in the Buffalo NY area. A good one that isn't 'shady' and isn't too overly priced. Any info would be great!
P.S Any breeders in the Southtowns of Buffalo would be even better as I don't live directly in the city!
10 AnswersDogs1 decade agoShould I be upset? Younger sister trying to plan her wedding before mine only leaving 4months between the 2?
My fiance and I have been engaged since Aug08 and are planning an Oct2010 wedding. My fiances youngest sister just got engaged 2 days ago and is already demanding that hers be June2010. I feel like she is trying to take the spotlight on purpose. I feel that out of respect for us she should wait till 2011. Should I feel this way???
