What do I call this event?
So a little boy passed away who was only 5 days old. My husband and I are photographers and want to put together photo sessions for children/families and proceeds go to the charity of the mother's choice. What would I call this? I can't really say it's a benefit, because it's not going to the family, but to the hosptial... What do you say?
4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoWhat to do with a 15 month old with a fever for a week?
Here is the story:
Sunday- ER visit due to pink eye in right eye. Started eye drops.
Monday- pink eye now in both eyes, continued meds now in both eyes. Didn't sleep very well Monday night.
Tuesday- Just seemed really congested and irritable. Went into Dr, has ear infection in ear. Started Antibiotics.
Wednesday- Fever starts. Always above 100F . Give Tylenol occasionally and antibiotics. Stopped eye infection meds as pink eye cleared up.
Thursday- Still Fever. continuing Tylenol and antibiotics.
Friday- Same
Saturday- Same, took into a dr, not normal one, says ears look a little better but still bad, continue meds, and keep monitoring. Still has fever. More tylenol.
Sunday- Horrible night of sleep Saturday night. Slept with us in bed, but was even crying in her sleep! Still fever and seems like in such pain. Started piggy backing Motrin and Tylenol with antibiotics. Just woke up from sleeping only 1 1/2 hours. She was soaked in sweat, but felt so cold. Sheets were soaked too.
Any recommendations Mom's? I'm so sad and to the point of crying seeing my little girl go through such pain and discomfort. Any help would be great!
7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoHow to get a 11 month old to stop pinching?
My 11 month old daughter likes to pinch me when she is sitting on my lap. She does it right on my chest and leaves noticeably red marks which look like I've been shot with a bunch of bee bees! I've tried saying ouchy or saying no, but that doesn't seem to be working. Sometimes I think she does it subconsciously while she's zoning. Any help would be appreciated! -Thank you!
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoJury Summons I received question:?
I had recieved a summons 2 weeks ago stating I had jury duty on Sept. 30-Oct. 2nd. I have called every day as instructed and each day I have been off. I have just recieved another summons in the mail this time for the end of Oct. Would this be correct? Or have I already served my time for the Sept 30-Oct. 2nd? I'm thinking that I am done already and this is bull honestly.... Any one who knows, please give me your insight!
4 AnswersCivic Participation1 decade agoHas any one experienced this postpartum?
I had my baby 5 1/2 months ago and it was via c-section due to her being in a breech position. But during the pregnancy I had no desire really to have sex. Partially because I had morning sickness all the way through and because it didn't really feel the same. Now post partum, sex feels good again, until I reach the point of orgasm. It's just not the same, I feel like I can't reach that plateau I used to be able to. Has anyone else every experienced this same thing?
1 AnswerOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoWhat would you expect from wedding.....?
My husband and I are wedding photographers and for the first time we've had a couple not get back in touch with us. They've paid their retainer, but haven't paid their balance in full... Their wedding is on Oct. 4th and in our contract it states the balance was due 30 days prior to the date of the event. We haven't heard from them. I've sent them emails and snail mail, but to no avail. We have no information about the ceremony locations or times of anything; only the location of the reception..... We are planing on calling them by this coming Monday if we don't hear from them. Should we then give up on this couple and write them off OR should we really invest more time and effort into tracking them down and making sure they haven't over looked anything? What do future brides and grooms think?
12 AnswersWeddings1 decade ago2 year old in childcare?
Hi there! I just recently started childcare last week. And the 2 year old girl in my care doesn't use any words besides 'dada' for bottle and 'mama' for everything else. The word 'mama' is for me (her childcare provider), my husband, my dogs, a stranger on the street, Barney, and anyother item that isn't even living. I guess my question is, is this normal? I want to say no, and if it isn't, does anyone else have any suggestions on how I can try to get her to talk more? I try to correct her by saying, Not Mama, Nicole or Not Mama, Barney. Can you say Barney? Should I keep doing this? Should I bring this up to the parents as a potential problem and have her seen by a language therapist? I guess I wonder what you as parents think?
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoWhat are somethings you look for for child care?
I'm thinking about starting up a child care business. I'm planing on getting certified, but I was just wondering what one looks for when deciding on what child care service to go with? Just want to hear from people that have put their children into child care, so I know what I could exceed at. Thank you!
8 AnswersParenting1 decade ago3 month old's naps...?
My 3 month old will only nap on a person during the days for 30 minutes 3-4 times a day. She sleeps through the night from 9pm-6am in her own crib. It's just the naps she won't sleep alone for. The moment you set her down she's wide awake and crying! What can I do to get her to nap on her own?
10 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy 2 month old has a red rash with white stuff under her neck...?
I wash and dry it every time we bath her (every other day), but it's still there. It's starting to get a wierd odor to it now. My mom suggested using baby powder due to cornstartch to dry it up, but it had got so much worse the very next day. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

I'm currently thinking about purchasing a glider. But I'm wondering if people actually use their gliders or did it just sit and collect dust?
