I remember reading the beginning of the book

I don't know the title at all

The girl's mother died of cancer

and on the night that the mum was buried.. The girl killed her father because she was tired of being raped.

Last week my family & his family had a meeting.. And he HUMILIATED me!

Amongst the things said were

* He doesn't love me

* He doesnt trust me

* He gave details of how often/little we have sex (my parents where there)

I dont want my little gal (17 month old) to grow up in a broken home

However, he refuses to shoulder ANY responsibilities (rent,daycare, medical insurance) he considers stuff like that as luxuries

I'm not sure what to do anymore

My options are as follows

* Divorce

* Move with him to his parents place.. abt a 2 hour plane ride (JHB to Port Elizabeth)

Also, he refuses to acknowledge that i'm studying and have 6 months left.By completion of my studies i will have tripled my income (finances are also an issue to him)

My little gal turned a year on wednesday and only crawls.. I'm getting worried.. Should I be?

All her other milestones are on track..

She talks, babbles, sings, is a very healthy eater and sleeper and is a an allround happy baby!

I am all for one..

My little one sleeps with hers but during the day I take it away

I'm just curious..

Also what are yr pacifier weaning tips..

She basically eats everything

Here is her eating routine

9am has a bottle of milk (5.5oz) with two scoops of cereal

9:45 has her bowl of cereal or a baby biscuit and some water

10:30 am has another bottle (4oz)

13:30 has lunch - fish or chicken fillet with rice and a piece of fruit and a full glass of water

14:45 has a bottle mixed with cereal (5.5oz)

16:30 has a baby sized yoghurt and half a glass of water

17:45 has another bottle (4oz)

19:30 has dinner - fish or chicken with veg and rice/pasta or a soup and a piece of fruit and a full glass of water

21:00 has her last bottle (5.5oz) - mixed with cereal

Is she overdosing on milk?

My almost ten month old has the following sleeping patterns

Wakes at 8am

10:30 naps

13:30 wakes up

15:30 naps

18:30 wakes up

20:30 sleeps til next day

Do you think she's getting enough sleep??

My little gal will be 10months old on the 18th

And I feel than separation anxiety phase is getting a bit out of control. I cant even talk or walk into the room when she is playing with her dad. She will start crying and calling me.

At other time's when she sees me, she will climb up my leg or do something similar..

What could I possibly do to ease this?

I do want to start her at creche soon, but I am reluctant as she refuses other people - including her dad. I do understand that its just a phase and will eventually pass BUT it is becoming hard to handle as all she says the whole time is MUM MUM MUM - even when she wakes up from her naps she starts crying for me

I hate seeing her cry - it breaks my heart

But it seems that I cant get anywork done at all.. :(

And my husband is accusing me of indulging her in way - as I always do what she wants

What are yr opinions??

My baby will be 3 months on the 18th and it seems like she's teething

She sucks on everything

Has really hard gums

and is permanently crabby

Is it my imagination or is she really teething?

Last week my little girl went for her 10 week check up and she weighed around 12pounds.

She is 12 weeks old today and was born weighing 7.15pounds

The nurse said she's a good weight for her height (she's short)

Anyways I came home with her as happy as ever to hear my kid is deleoping well. Hubby came home from work and I updated him

Then he called his mum.

His mum started shouting him that the baby is too fat and fat babies are ugly

She started saying stuff like wen she's hungry we must rather give her water instead of milk/formula and that she needs to go on a diet as fat babies are really ugly

I'm really really angry right now.

Please someone give me some advice on how to handle this situation

This is my baby's nightly routine with regards to feeding

6pm she eats and naps

10pm eats again then sleeps til

2am sleeps again then sleeps til

6am

She turned 7 weeks today and last night I fed her at 10.30pm and she only got up at 6am

Should I be worried?

My 5 week old baby has nappy rash and I've tried everything

Fissan nappy rash Cream

Bennets baby bum creme

Elizabeth Anne's Cornstarch powder

And nothing seems to work..

Is there anything I could try??

My baby turned 3weeks old today

It seems that she is overeating, as she throws up fresh milk after every burp.

I'm exclusively breastfeeding so I dont really know the quantity of milk she is drinking

Also, she finds comfort in sucking my breast to fall asleep and ends up drinking alot.

How can I prevent this overeating (over drinking rather) in the baby or will it just pass over time?

I had my baby two weeks ago but I have absolutely no appetite

Is this normal?

And im breastfeeding..

I'm finding it really difficult to wind my baby

She falls asleep almost immediately after her feed and most times she possets (throws up) some of her milk

Can someone please teach me how to wind her properly?

I intend to breastfeed for atleast a month with my baby

Then i intend on expressing some feeds and breastfeeding at night (as i intend on going back to work after 8 weeks)

What bottles are best for the baby?

I have both NUK and AVENT

Which are better and why?

Im going in on Monday 4 a c section

Is it too early to set up the cot and the baby's bath and toiletries, etc ??

Also, what are yr views on a dummy?

Is an AVENT newborn dummy ok?

When should i give her the dummy?
