I have been an over the road truck driver most all my life. I am 51 now...taking care of my 32 month old Grandson. I still own one truck...a 1998 Freightliner Classic. Have been almost everywhere in the US over the past 25 years or so. Know all the miles and short cuts. Would love to one day move WAY out in the back country of West Virginia or Southwest VA...I now live just east of Roanoke.

  • Having a Hard heart beat sometimes.?

Sometimes my heart beats very hard...just once and then goes back to a normal beat. I DO NOT have high blood pressure. The hard heart beat can, at times, happen every few minutes and then at other times, it might just do it once and wait a few hours to do it again. It does it only once and not continuously. Mostly in the evening this is happening. Is this something I should be "REALLY" concerned with? It is scaring my sometimes. It can beat hard when I doing nothing, just sitting around. I would appreciate any answers.

  • What would we do if the stock market falls to rock bottom?

If the stock market fell to the level of 1929 and the banks and finance companies closed how do you pay a house payment or a vehicle payment? No one would want to loose their house or vehicle, but if you had the money to make the payment HOW WOULD TAKE THE PAYMENT if the banks and stock market folded?

  • Why is fan running all the time at start up?

In the past 2 weeks everytime I start my computer the fan is coming on but nothing else is operating. I shut it off, wait 10-15 minutes, turn it back on and this continues for several more tries. I then turn it on and wait a minute or two and push the off button for 2-3 secinds and it powers up. I have no idea what is wrong. I defrag, run virus software, use registry software and clear out what is not needed ALL on a regular basis. What could be the problem and should I take it to my computer guy to have it looked at? Thanks. I am using Windows XP Version 2.

  • US Debt of 9 TRILLION?

This morning (1/28/2008) I checked the US Debt clock and we are 9 trillion dollars in the hole. It is now adding over 1 billion dollars a day that continues to add to the 9 trillion...How can any company, organization or government continue operation with that much in debt? If I ran my check book the way the US government runs theirs I would be put in jail, and for a VERY long time. There is INTEREST on that debt also. How is the US going to pay down the debt and/or will that ever happen?

  • What is the point of a "primary"?

I did not realize until today that is doesn't matter who wins a primary in popular vote because with the "superdelegates" in the democratic race they and the regular delegates make the decision as to who is the winner...so what is the point if the people are not truely deciding and many of the delegates and "super" delegates have already made their choices?

  • Why am I not dreaming?

All my life I have had very few dreams. I have Multiple Sclerosis (I am 50 yrs. old) and my Neurologist said I must be in REM sleep in order to dream. Occasionally I sleep so hard that I do dream, but only once or twice a year or so. I took a nap the other day and slept very hard and actually had a dream. How can I get to sleeping deeply? Are the prescription sleep medications safe for using occasionally for this? My Husband dreams every night and falls asleep within minutes of going to bed. It takes me a LONG time to fall asleep and I hardly ever dream. Please help. Dreaming the other day seemed to make me feel refreshed. By the way my MS is not bad at all. I have had it for more than 20 years. You would not know I had it unless I told you.

  • Altered Weather during WWII ???

During history class in high school years ago (late 60"s-early 70's) we were told of a strategy the US used to ALTER the weather for a very important battle...not sure which battle it was...and after the war the US PROMISED never to do this again during war. Does anyone know what I am talking about and if you do what is the concept for this "change" in weather and if it can be done, why do we not do it when we have droughts? If it can and has been done, does it drastically change the weather months and years after for the worst? I have been on every search I can think of to check this out, but have been unable to find this information. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this and any website I might be able to go to learn more on this. Thanks very much.

  • Left Knee and Leg Broke 11/01/2004 Still Hurts?

I fell off a ladder 4 feet up...I am now 50 yrs. old. My left knee is still hurting all the time. I just finished my second set of therapy(16 visits). Had the 1st therapy for 7 months after break. The doctor says I needed to strenghten the leg muscles, but the pain is not going away. The leg has gotten stronger...no longer buckles, but the pain is still there...especially behind the knee. Is this pain going to continue forever? I had never broke a bone before this. Am white, thin 5'6"-130lbs. Not over weight and I am very active. Take 1600mg calcium daily. with vitamins. Am I wanting something that is never going to happen...like PAIN going away?
