I left because I was laid off and could not pay.I have a new job now and wish to go back. Will I be arested at the airport? It has been 17 years. Would that make a difference? Thanks

I was offered a job to work overseas. While waiting for my my final paperwork, they decided at the last minute to postpone my assignment for nine months. But i already leased my house to a family, hired movers to store my furniture, stored my car, notified the post office of a change of address and waited in a hotel for four days at my expense. I even spent a day in orientation at human resources enrolling in benefits and filling out I9 and tax forms. Since the hotel and meals were getting expensive, I flew to another state to wait at my daughter's house. Now I have no job and no home and spent $1100.00 of my own money. I should wait the nine months but shouldn't I demand payment? don't want to sue. i am really upset. What do you think? Thanks.

I have a girlfriend.

Sometimes she is insulting. At one time she said I said something stupid. She also said at one time, “Are you crazy?”

There is an issue. Regarding this, first I get a complaint, then a nag, then a scolding, then accused of purposeful wrong doing--all on the same subject.

She can be rude. She interrupts me in mid word, and says she will call me back when someone is on the other line and then calls back three days later.

I asked her to complement me more and say that I am cute or something. She said, “I don’t think you’re cute with that hair.”

She is conversationally dominant, disagreeable, and a poor listener. When I say up, she says down. When I say west, she say east.

She stopped e-mailing me, and won’t write any more love notes. I usually end up calling her before she calls me. Although we plan to get married, she won’t talk about our future as a couple. I live out of town now and she won’t make plans to visit me even for a weekend with all expenses paid. I need advice. I love her. Should I continue to be with her? I mention these problems and she makes excuses like, "Are you keeping score? or, "You are too sensitive etc.

What shall I do with my girlfriend who is so opinionated?

She says that it’s just her opinion and there is no problem. I feel that most of what I say is almost meaningless.

Below are some examples of unsupportive, too opinionated conversation, A. And examples of acknowledged and supportive conversation, B.

1. The Obama administration is doing a lot to stimulate the economy, but we still have some way to go.

B. No, they’re not doing anything at all. Unemployment remains stagnate at ten percent and no, we don’t have some way to go we have a long way to go.

My wife co-signed for a home loan for her brother. Her brother then passed away several years later. She took over the property. I subsequently married her and during the marriage she alone qualified for subsequent refinancings.

If, God forbid, something were to happen to my wife and she passed away, would I be financially responsible for the home? We live in a community property state, but the loan is not in my name.

I'll see an attorney, but you can't trust them sometimes and its best to get advice from many sources.

One teacher is assigned three classes. Another teacher is assigned only one class. MOST classes have a high student attendance record. Over time, wouldn’t the three class teacher have a higher student attendance record on average? Would they have more students left in their classes over time? Please help with a rule or formula if you can.

There is a big apple tree with MORE ripe apples than rotten or bad ones. If one person is picking one apple at a time and another person is picking THREE apples at a time, would this three apple picking person end up with a higher percentage of ripe apples on a pro rated, per capita basis? (They are picked blindfolded and at random). What is the formula or rule? Is it the law of large numbers?

My daughter's husband's sister is gay. My daughter invited my wife and I for Xmas dinner and the gay woman will be there. I told my daughter that I will not accept the invitation. What people do is their own business, but I don't want my wife contaminated by tom boys since she is borderline tom boy herself. For ten years I have been encouraging her to be more feminine, put on a dress and to have poise and demureness. Now she will see that it is ok for a woman to go around acting like a man. All my life I have sought out a real woman--dumping those who were too "butch." I feel that I have a right to protect the sanctity of marriage and not condone lesbian behavior over our meal. How can I feel better about this? I do not want to be anti-gay. I just don't want to expose my wife to "Ms. manly" underscoring all that I've tried to do to be satisfied and happy and express my desire for a feminine company. Any suggestions?'Thanks

I think that Thursday is a good day to declare at my college campus that it be a clothing optional day for teachers, staff and Students.
