  • Chinese...specifically Mandarin "won't happen again"?

    please give me the characters unless you can be very specific about which ones you're talking about. I want to know how to say something like 'it won't happen again'. (I'm telling my teacher why I didn't study for a test, but that it won't happen again.) I was thinking "不會下次" Does this make sense? If this is wrong, please explain why and give me the correct characters and pinyin (including tones, which you can denote with numbers)

  • light-minutes away from Mars?

    The distance light travels in a minute is a “light-minute,” 2.9 x 106 miles. Note that 1.609 km = 1 mile. How many light-minutes away was Mars at the time the spacecraft landed? (Note: this is the length of time it took the signal to reach the Earth after it was sent).

    I just don't know what units the answer should be in, I think I would know what to do if I knew what I needed to cancel. Please explain your steps.

  • deriving tan inverse of x?

    we're supposed to figure out how to derive tan inverse of x using only the composition of inverse functions=x I'm not sure weather to compose tan of tan inverse, or the other way around. But either way, i get to sec^2(x) and then I'm lost. I don't know what to do with the square.

  • Can't play music! MOTOSLVR L7c memory card issues?

    So I got a memory card for Christmas and I can't use it! It's a one gig micro SD card and an adapter so I can move files from my laptop to it. I put it into my CP, made a playlist, and saved it onto the memory card, throught the adapter. I put the memory card in my phone, and the phone recognizes that there is a card there, but the music doesn't show up when I open the MP3 player function. It's a 1G card, but the free space is astronomical on it. I must have put 700MG on there, but only one meg is used! I don't understand why I can't play it, and the manufacturer's website told me to do what I already tried!

  • Maximizing volume?

    Determine the dimensions of a rectangular solid (with a square base) of maximum volume if its surface area is 150 square inches.

    I've concluded:

    V=w²(h) where V is volume, w is width and h is heigth

    sA=2(w²)+4(hw) where sA is surface area, w and h as above

    Then, I wrote sA=150=2(w²)+4(hw)

    Then, I solved for w. I got:

    w= -h±√(4h²+300)

    I plugged this into V(w) so that (-h±√(4h²+300))²h

    I just used plus because - isn't in the domain.

    I simplified V(w) and took what I think is the derivative.

    I got:

    V'= 15h²-8h√(h²+75)-((4h³)/√(h²+75))+300

    I think my conclusions so far are correct. If not, please explain my mistakes as thouroughly as possible. I have no idea how to find the critical number of this baby though. I'm pretty sure that's what I need to do, but I can't figure out how to factor anything, and it's deffinetly not easy to solve.
