How do I get my $.60 deposit back? (in Manhattan)?
Just went across the street to Duane Reade near Times Square.
I bought a 12-pack of Coke.
I noticed on the receipt that I paid a $.60 deposit.
So, when I'm done, should I bring the empty cans back to Duane Reade, or what?
If you have actually gotten a deposit back yourself in NYC, please tell me what you did. Thanks!
5 AnswersConservation1 decade agoIn PHP, what's the best way to get a $_POST past a login script? My users' sessions are timing out!?
I've got a system with users who first log in, then they have to fill out a long form. After about 15-30 minutes, their session times out, and when they click "submit" on the form, it sends them back to the login screen and all their data is lost! I am thinking about putting in line of code in the beginning "restrict_access" library that stores the $_POST in a global variable before it checks for access/session timeout. Then, after a successful login, the stored variable gets put back into the $_POST for normal form processing...
Has anyone run into this problem before? How have you solved it?
Thanks!
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhat are some competitors of Charles Schwab financial?
I'm looking for a good place to put money away in CDs or Money Market Funds. Schwab has been recommended to me by many because they have a really great website that makes it easy to transfer money around.
What are some other good companies? I want to make the best decision in order to save up to purchase a house when the market comes back down in a few years.
Thanks!
4 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoIf I have $10,000 and I purchase a 20-day CD with a 3.0% APY, how much money will I have when I withdraw in 20
I'm just confused about how Certificates of Deposit work. It doesn't make sense that I'd make $300 in 20 days. I mean, that's better than the stock market!
2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoWhere can I find a font with male and female symbols?
I'm putting together a spreadsheet for my wedding... I'd like to add little icons for the things the groomsmen do and things the bridesmaids do. I thought I'd be able to find the male and female symbols in the "Wingdings" or "Webdings" font, but no luck there. Any suggestions? I'm using Windows XP and Microsoft Excel. Thanks!
