  • Is Obama everything you thought he would be?

For all of you that were obsessed with him and gave your vote to him, has been all you have expected? Give some specific examples how he has lived up to campaign promises and where he hasn't.

One he hasn't is; more transparency. Biden is talking with labor unions today and the White House said no cameras. What are they hiding?

  • Should I change my Party affiliation?

I have been a Conservative Republican for 23 years and I have never missed a vote. I came from two parents that were Democrats. Over the past few years, I have seen the Republican party move away from Conservatism. I don't think the Republican party represents me anymore. I fit more as a Libertarian but I don't agree with their stand on drugs.

Give me some reasons to stay in the Republican party or to get out and become a Libertarian or even an Independent.

  • Why do you belong to your party?

    Why am I a Republican?

    1. Laws are made by the legislature and not Judges.

    2. Limits on federal power and a larger role reserved for the States.

    3. Corporate and personal decision making in fostering economic prosperity. Not the Government! I want to be in charge of my destiny not the government. (Regulation and oversight must be in place. Sad to Say!)

    4. Lower taxes, less government spending. Government should not be the answer for everything. Every time there is a new social program we lose freedom.

    5. There should be a safety net to assist less fortunate but it should be in a grant to faith based organization and charities not in the form of government welfare.

    6. A strong national defense.

    7. Marriage as exclusively between one man and one woman.

    8. Etc…

What are your reasons you choose to be with your party.

  • To all Women: Does this anger you?

The Democrats are always dogging Sarah Palins experience.

I would be offended by everyone talking about her experience. She is the only one of the 4 that has executive experience.

Obama: State Senate 6 years and voted present 130 times, US Senate for almost 3 years, 2 of which he has been running for president. No Executive experience

Biden 30+ years as a senator. Never ran a company or govt. No Executive experience

McCain Military experience then alomost 30 years as a senator. No Executive experience

Palin 4 years on the city council. 6 years as mayor (Executive) and 2 years as governor (Executive). She has had to make decisions and lead. None of the rest has.

Does this mean she needs to be more qualified because she is female?

I am angry about this and would be more so if I were a female.

  • Do you think that McCain should bring up the Wright issue?

I think it is more damning than Ayers. How can Obama be in a church spouting crap like that for 20 years and then say he never heard. People are molded into who they are by their environment and who they choose to associate with. Don't the majority of your friends have common interests and beliefs as you. People gravitate to other people that are just like them. There is really no proof that Obamas beliefs and ideology are the same as these two. But with Obama being so vague in his answers and only disavows when he gets caught makes us look at his friends to determine who he is. I say John Mccain should hit Rev. Wright and Ayers issues hard.

  • Give me your opinion on this!?

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. This nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 1025) abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. The IRS is disbanded and defunded. The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system.
