Honestly, why is it so difficult for people to admit that he's a great goaltender?? People say he's washed up but where's the credit for staying healthy and competitive into his 40's? He had 27 wins last season playing with a BAD Florida team and sharing starts for a lot of the season. I mean, two more decent seasons and he'll pass Roy on the all-time wins list (both will be passed by Brodeur, but that's beside the point), he won the Calder in 1991 as rookie of the year,won the Jennings for lowest GAA 3 times, he's got his Stanley Cup, multiple Vezina's, 8 all-star selections, olympic GOLD medal, and so on.

So please, be objective, and offer me some insight into why you think he may not be as respected as his stats would demand. I realize he's not the best citizen at times, especially for a pro hockey player who are, on average, the most professional and best behaved athletes of all pro sports - He'd be citizen of the year if compared to NFL or NBA players.
