  • Is it possible to officially lower car Co2 emissions?

My company pays me a car allowance which is increased slightly if I own a car that has 120g of Co2 emissions of lower. I'm planning to change my car soon and have found a car I like, which unfortunately has 123g therefore just outside of the requirement. My question is... Is there anything I can do to lower the emissions down to 120g such as chipping the car, changing air filters etc, and more specifically, is there any way I can get some sort of official certificate to prove that the car has qualified for being 120g or under, after being tested...?

  • I've been offered a promotion, only thing is I'll earning less...?

I've been in my role for roughly 2 years and have just been offered a promotion out of the blue. I am quite happy in my current role however I can't see myself wanting to do it for more than another 2 - 4 years.

After adding everything up it'll mean that I'll been earning roughly 7k p.a less than I am in my current role. The extra 7k I totalled up comes from overtime (Which I choose to do) and food allowance. I'm really unsure what to do. The new role sounds amazing, and is just what I want to progress to eventually.

The Pros: A more senior role, more of a routine to my day, 9 – 5, opportunity for further progression.

    The Cons: -7K

The problem is that my boss has said that there is no budget for an increase in my current salary, and I’ll no longer be entitled to the overtime and food allowance. With a mortgage and bills to pay, I’m unsure that it is a good move to make.

    What would you do?

  • Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5 - How do you sync calendar attachments?

I've got a pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5. It's setup to Sync with Outlook 2003 on my PC (Calendar, Contacts and Tasks). It also sync's emails with Outlook exchange server 2003.

The quesion is... I receive a lot of calendar appointments from other people which include attachments. I can access the attachments when using Outlook on my PC or the Webmail exchange server. But when I receive the calendar appoinments / view the calendar on my pocket PC, each appointment is correctly sync'd to the correct date/time but they are always missing attachments... Any Idea's on how to get the calendar tasks which include attachments on my PC to sync those attachments on to my pocket pc? - Hope this makes sense!
