4 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoHow can I query CIE grades; especially I would like to have access to scripts.?
My son obtained Grade 'C' in his A Level Maths from CIE, although he was very confident of getting an 'A'. 6 moths back, he got 'A*' in his IGCSE Maths. I would like to have access to his scripts and would like to know how to go aout it. I am unable to find CIE in the major 5 boards, and thus unable to find a solution. I understand exam scripts are made available to students, and would like to see them without compromising the option to have them rechecked.

8 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoWhat are the options for a 11 year old kid who will get A* or better in IGCSE Maths (580B) in Summer 2006 exam
My son had just turned 11 when he sat for his IGCSE (Univ. Cambridge) Maths 580 B (extended) exam this summer in India. He is expecting very good marks (90% and above).
You can perhaps understand the confusion a parent faces when handling such talent. What I would like to know is what would a child with such extraordinary capability do in UK or what options are there like
How should he pursue his further studies, considering the fact that he has prepared at home for this exam. Which institutes or school would be able to nurture his talent further?
Should he concentrate on Maths and prepare for his ‘A’ level maths, which he is always willing to, or complete his other ‘O’ level subjects
What would usually be done in Britain, especially by the Educational Institutions, to nurture and foster such talents
What else can be done to develop his natural ability in Maths
(I remember reading a report, where a child with similar performance was offered a faculty position)
