My mother (68 years old now) developed a severe form of the bipolar (Mano-depressive) disease at the age of 52, without having any psychiatric problem through out her life. Neither one of her parents had it either. I never heard of such case of a person getting BP first in the adult life.

"Fear factor" being one of the dumb game shows, where eating bugs and rotten stuff is one of the challenges. I wonder about the rotten fish, since one is sometimes worried if fish is safe to eat. Is it always safe to eat and putrid state of it is just a flavor problem?

Down to the basics- I realize, that atoms are the building blocks of the matter. Just wonder- how/where does the nuclear energy come from in bombs or electric generators?

I have the deepest respect for the 50.000 years of knowledge accumulated by the Aboriginals for example, however- why did the industrial revolution and the computers never come to them or to some African tribes? Does it have to be cold for people to become science interested?

I`ve done it before- "format:/C", but now I can`t come into the DOS mode. I`ve tried F2, but it didn`t help much. Please- how do I come into the DOS mode to write the "format" commando. Thanks!

I hate to sound all hypokondriac, but I`ve begun getting knee cramps every time I bend my leg, which means many times a day. It`s like my foot locks it`s self with a world of pain, so that I have to jump around, untill it goes over. I am only 34 years old, so it shouldn`t be... whatsitname...

I mean the kind with a magnetic line, used in cash registers, cash machines, public transport etc, where the magnetic black line carries the information. I need to disable it without physically (visibly) damaging it. Just so that it does not produce any reaction from the reading machine (as if it was just a piece of cardboard). I`m all into the moon conspiracy- in other words: there is a lot of inconsistencies, speaking for that US never has never been there. A simple question I`ve missed however- why can one not see the stars from the moon surface in any of the films? They should be more visible, that from the Earth? Sure, there is a simple technical explanation

Imagine that a clone showed out to be much better than an average human (with some DNA tempering)- decease free, smarter, better looking... You think they would be still considered as the second class citizens or would become a ruling elite?

If reality is perception and perception consists of the biochemical interaction of our brain cells- would it be immoral to introduce a perfect drug, that "knows" exactly how to keep you smart, content, healthy, energetic, and reeeally fockin happy. Why not?

It`s only the next logical step, after downers, uppers, happy pills, sleeping pills, pain killers?

If reality is perception and perception consists of the biochemical interaction of our brain cells- would it be immoral to introduce a perfect drug, that "knows" exactly how to keep you smart, content, healthy, energetic, and reeeally fockin happy. Why not?

This is for a semi philosophical story about a brain implant that stimulates just the right areas of the brain to keep you in a perpetual bliss. It "knows" when to heighten the production of endorphin, cortisone, adrenaline, dopamine, serotonin, etc. depending on your needs.

Any ideas for the name? One scientific (maybe latin?) and one a commercial label. Thanks!!!
