when i run dos prompt and go to full screen then either if i use alt+tab or use exit to go back to windows blank screen appears and i am not able to see my desktop.

what could be the reason ?

I am having gmail and i have configured outlook express to send/receive mails.

once i switch off the system and switch it on next day the incomming mail pop3 server changes automatically from pop.gmail.com to local host. and email address get added with lakshmiteja@gmail.com/pop.gmai... to send/receive mails i have to change incomming mail(pop3) to pop.gmail.com from local host and correct the email address.

and i have to do this every day. any patch avilable ?

i have got 100 dates entered in 100 cells.

eg.

01/02/2006

03/03/2006

04/05/2006

08/09/2006

and i have formatted these cells as date.

now in the next column, i want month name of that date

i.e. january,february etc.

how to do that

if i use month function i get only month number i.e. 1 for jan but i want full name of the month.

can anybody help ?

i have a kingston U3 1 GB data traveller USB but in win 98 not showing up. i removed generic usb driver in device manager and restarted. and put for windows update but says no driver. please tell me exact site name and exact link to download the driver. please dont ask me to google it bcz i have already tried and not found it.

I had win 98 and my speakers connected to system(external) was working fine. yesterday i just overinstalled (upgraded) win xp on my machine. now i can't listen to any songs.

i checked sounds in control panel. when i click on audio tab, everything is disabled. how to solve this problem ?

i have 25 sys connected to same domain. i have one pc recently connected. pc has win 2000. if i click on network neighbourhood, i can see only few machines but not all why.

but i can ping the machine which is not visible

also if i do start -> run and give the machine's ip address which is not visible in the network neighbourhood, then i can see the contents of that machine.

what setting i have to make so that when i click on network neighbourhood i see all the machines ?

i have shared c and d drive of all machines.

in windows xp if i run msconfig(in dos prompt msconfig and enter) then i can see all programs which run on startup of computer and delete them(so that it will not start when my computer starts) if not required. but how to do the same thing in win 98 or win 2000. pls tell me

I have a page ejecton problem in visual foxpro report writer. whenever i print 2nd page starts from bottom of first page and third page prints from bottom of 2nd page and so on. printer is absolutely fine. excel and word prints with proper page breaks. can anyone help
