  • Can I install speakers that are larger than what I have now?

According to Crutchfield the only speakers that would fit are 5 1/4" but I was looking at some 6 1/2" speakers. Would it be possible to put those in the place were the old ones are now?

  • 2 ways vs. 3 ways.....Which is better?

I'm not interested in anything really loud and not planning on using much more than normal amounts of bass.

    Which have better sound quality?

Would one be better for the front and the other the back?

I am not getting any subs, would an amp still be a good idea?

  • Why aren't Hydro, Nuclear, and Geo-thermal energies count as part of the 20% clause of the cap and trade bill?

States must move to make 20% of their energy clean. However, the only sources that the bill considers to be clean/renewable are solar and wind power. I have no problem with those, in fact, I really like them, but why aren't the others included as well. I understand the hesitance with nuclear, but not including the others?

  • Why do enviormentalists hate nuclear energy?

On the same note, why don't they consider Hydro and Geo-thermal energy to be renewable?

  • Why is my computer/IP address unable to access some sites?

I have tried several times to access specific websites over the past several days. These are sites that I go to on a regular basis and are well kept on their own, i.e. Facebook. However, when I try to access them now I get a message that says "Oops, This link appears to be broken." However, when I use a proxy to get to the same site, there is no problem accessing it. What is wrong, and how do I fix it?

Using Google Chrome, but also did not work in Firefox.

  • Is there a way to get rid of scar tissue?

So, just over a month ago injured my foot. About an inch long lacerations between my 4th and 5th toes on my left foot, that went about 1/2 an inch deep. I did not get stitches because of the placement, but it has seemed to heal pretty well. I have noticed, however, that the skin is really hard near the base of the toe/ (between the proximal phalange and the metatarsal). It is painful to walk on and is getting a bit annoying, as the rest of the healing has gone well. Is this just normal scar tissue? Is there something that I can do to help get rid of it?

  • Computer Science: BA vs. BS?

I am currently a sophomore in the Engineering College at a major state university enrolled in the Computer Science department. I am not a huge fan of taking all of the extra math that is involved in getting the B.S. form of the degree, and would love to be able to have more than 2 electives in my college career. Are there any cons to making the switch? Do employers really look that much into it? I am thinking about getting my MBA after wards, would one be better than the other? Any info that I could get would be appreciated. Thanks

  • How do I fix this expected expression error?

This is the error that I receive after I compile. So you don't have to count lines, 36 is just after my while loop.

    gcc homework2.c -o homework2

    homework2.c: In function ‘main’:

homework2.c:36: error: expected expression before ‘=’ token

homework2.c:39: error: expected expression before ‘=’ token

  • Why is Bush so hated by some people?

First of all, I don't like Bush. I disagree with the war and especially the Patriot Act. That being said, I don't understand why people hate him so greatly. People don't hate JFK or LBJ for the steps that caused us to get into Vietnam.

What are your reasons for hating Bush, other than these of course.

  • Does anyone remember the last scam Al Gore tried to pull on Americans?

I seem to remember him saying that the ozone layer was going to grow over North America and that we would all get cancer from the radiation. That was over 15 years ago. Guess what? We did nothing to stop it, and nothing happened to us. Why should we believe him now?

  • Does the fact that the Federal Reserve is owned by private banks and charges us to run the system bother you?

    http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/who_owns_the...

Not only that, but JFK passed Executive Order 11110 on June 4th, 1963 that was designed to put new currency, backed by silver, into curculation. Soon after his assassination this money was removed from curculation.

How and why does the Fed have so much power? According to the section 8 of the Constitution congress is the only entity that has the right to do this.

  • If only men can be drafted, up until the age of 26, shouldn't only men be able to vote until the same time?

Don't worry, I really don't think this. I am just using it to illustrate a point. I hate the draft. Besides, according to the 13th amendment, it is unconstitutional.

  • Aside from the Iraq war, what are the things that you dislike Bush for?

Personally, I would say the Patriot Act. Yeah congress passed it, but he asked them to and signed it.

    14 AnswersPolitics1 decade ago
  • Why do people blame the president for everything, when congress has more power over what actually happens?

Sure Bush started the Iraq war, but Congress has voted to pay for it every time the issue has come up.

Congress is the only branch that is allowed to allocate money, and yet Bush is blamed for the deficit. Yes, the war has cost a lot, but all of the congressmen who disagree with it have done nothing to stop it.

Congress voted for the Patriot Act.

I could go on and on, but I think that you get the picture.

And yes I realize that Congress has lower rating than Bush does, but why wont people vote them out!?

  • How can the government even legislate offshore drilling?

I thought that the borders only extended 12 miles out, whereas the drilling would take place over 25 miles offshore.

  • Are we being treated like slaves by the government?

Slavery is forcing people to work and taking all that they make, while giving them food, shelter, healthcare(rudamentary), and clothing.

Income tax makes us pay a lot of what we make. There are proposals to make us pay more. The main one right now is healthcare. Congress just recently gave $300 Billion to help people with shelter(housing). Are we becoming more and more like a slave state?
