mirena removal..still not pregnant?
I had Mirena IUD for 2.5 years. I had it taken out in the end of July. I started bleeding extremely bad and had to take provera for 10 days to stop it. After the provera, my period resumed as normal (28 day cycle) and has been normal since. I have 2 kids already and had no problems conceiving them. My husband and I are not using birth control and I'm still not pregnant. I did notice that 2 weeks before my period starts I have lower back pain and uterine pain that is mild and only lasts for about 2 days. Anyone have any ideas? Or has this happened to anyone before?
Thanks in advance! :)
2 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoProvera followed by no period?
I had Mirena IUD for 2.5 years and just had it removed end of July. 3 days post removal, I started having horrible cramping and very heavy bleeding. I ended up in the ER after 7 days because I was shaky and really dizzy. The Doc there put me on 10mg of Provera for 10 days. Obviously with a with-drawl bleed expected after up to 14 days after finishing the pills. It has been 22 days since I finished the Provera and I still have not gotten my period. I have had slight cramping, breast tenderness, feeling sick to my stomach..basically symptoms of PMS or pregnancy. I've never had irregular periods or bouts of heavy bleeding. So, has anyone else been though this? Or know of someone who has been though this? Thanks in advance for your help!
